In trying to find ways to complete his being
(process of becoming) man has become:
The limitation on material needs to be possessed resulted to
conflict that leads to war for survival (Darwin)

Concept of Stewardship
Concept of responsible caretaking; based on the premise that we do
not own resources, but are managers and are responsible to future
generations for their condition -www.jcpsky.net/Departments/EnvironmentalEd
The concept that mankind has an ethical responsibility to care for
plants, animals, and the environment as a whole, due to our superior
intellect and power to change the natural world -
www.environment.nelson.com A steward is ³one who acts as a supervisor or administrator, as of
finances and property, for another or others.́ ± Webster Dictionary

Concept of Stewardship
Stewardship means being in charge of something that is entrusted to you, but
not your own possession,
It implies accountability to the true owner for what we do with and how weensure a return on the things we are in charge of, such as:
 ourselves
 material and natural resources
 knowledge and innovations
 our children, employees
our portion of business or other organizations self-regulation and professional standards ±

Concept of Stewardship
Stewardship is an alternative to leadership. Stewardship
asks us to be deeply accountable for the outcomes of aninstitution, without acting to define purpose of others,
control others, or take care of others. It can be most
simply defined as giving order to the dispersion of power.

over Self-Interest´

Concept of Stewardship
Stewardship is a force in the universe
which acts to preserve the universe fromharm ± which takes place through the
actions and the will of individuals.

Stewardship PrinciplesStewardship Principles
Appreciation of the two great gifts that a
wise and loving God has given: ± the earth, with all its natural resources, and
± our own human nature, with its biological,
psychological, social and spiritual capacities

Stewardship PrinciplesStewardship Principles
Acceptance that God has absolute Dominionover creation, and that, insofar as human beingsare made in God¶s image and likeness, (ImagoDei) we have been given a limited dominion over creation and are responsible for its care.
The gifts of human life and its natural
environment be used with profound respect for their intrinsic ends.

Stewardship PrinciplesStewardship Principles
The gift of human creativity especially should be used tocultivate nature and the environment, recognizing the
limitations of our actual knowledge and the risks of destroying these gifts
Accordingly, simply because something can be donedoes not necessarily mean that it should be done (thefallacy of the technological imperative)
