April 5, 2013 two students in Batangas shot themselves dead after receiving failing grades in separate incidents Friday afternoon.

(3) Daveson Beron, 22, a mechanical engineering student at Batangas State University, used a caliber .38 revolver to shoot self in the right temple, found by his mother Analiza at 12:30 p.m. inside their house in Purok 3, Barangay Bolbok, Batangas City Beside Beron’s body was a laptop with a message written on its screen: “I’m sorry, I quit.” Family learned his name is not in the list of graduating students.

(4) Don Benedict Pamintuan, 17, a physical therapy freshman at the De La Salle-Dasmariñas in Cavite, used a shotgun pointed to his chin found by his father at 4:15 p.m. inside their bathroom in J.P. Laurel Street, Barangay 2, Nasugbu. Pamintuan could have been depressed when he found out that he got failing grades in four subjects, and was to be transferred to the Batangas State University this coming school year.

(1) Last March 15, Kristel Tejada, 16, a behavioral science freshman from UP-Manila, drank silver cleaner inside their home in Tondo, after school administrators told her to take a leave of absence from her studies for failing to

pay her tuition amounting to P10,000.

(2) 3 days later, March 18, Lee Gunay, 14, a high school sophomore at the St. Bridget College, in Batangas, shot himself with a caliber .45 pistol inside his parents' room after he could no longer take the bullying by his classmates that could have led to his failing his Math subject.

I ask you especially to show concern for those who do not have a family of their own, in particular those who are elderly and children without parents. Never let them feel

NEW YORK, February 6 (C-Fam) Guadalupe was convicted of murdering her newborn baby. Her case failed multiple appeals. But now she is is free, courtesy of a multi-year campaign by abortion groups and pressure from UN officials.

Six UN experts praised (wholeheartedly welcome) El Salvador for pardoning Carmen Guadalupe Vásquez Aldana last week. She was 7 years into a 30-year sentence after being found guilty of murder. Her case is the centerpiece in a campaign to depict El Salvador’s abortion laws as oppressive and unfair.

Cardenal told the Friday Fax that all 17 cases cited by the UN experts involved babies that were carried to full term or near full term and then born alive. In Gaudalupe’s case, the baby was 8 months in the womb. Cardenal described the cases as “grotesque.” These women would ostensibly be found guilty of the same crime anywhere in the world, she explained.

“But they found several women guilty of infanticide,” she added. All 17 convictions involve gruesome circumstances. Cardenal provided photographs from the cases of full term babies that had been strangled, their skull pierced, and their throats slit.

“Certain realities of life we only see through eyes cleansed by our tears. I invite each one here to ask yourself: have I learned how to weep? Let us really learn how to weep. This is a challenge. Be courageous; don’t be afraid to cry.” POPE FRANCIS at UST.
