FingerLokTM DeviceThe FingerLok is our latestdevice to employ the AutoRetention feature. The releaselever is positioned behind thetrigger guard enabling the userto sweep it with the middle finger as a natural part of thedraw. Many officers like thisconcept because it allows themto use the same muscle memorywhen drawing from either aBianchi duty or concealmentholster.

There is no good time to lose yourweapon! The traditional thumb breakholster has been around for a long timeand for good reason…it’s simple, reli-able and it works. But it’s not perfect.One of the hurdles with a thumb breakis that you have to snap the thumbbreak before it can do its job.

Bianchi recognized the need forimproved retention while retaining anatural and fluid draw. The result isBianchi’s Auto RetentionTM concept.Many innovations have been introducedover the years, but not until Bianchiintroduced the concept of AutoRetention, was there a holster designedthat immediately secured the weaponupon holstering and before manuallysecuring any external devices present.

Auto Retention provides immediate andpositive mechanical retention when theweapon is properly holstered. Bianchi’sThumbLokTM and FingerLokTM devicesprovide secure weapon retention byautomatically locking the trigger guardof the pistol during reholstering of theweapon. This is accomplished througha patented locking lever that is strong,simple and reliable. The spring loadedcam lever remains engaged until deacti-vated through the natural positioning ofthe thumb or finger during the draw.The result is a smooth and efficientdraw stroke that does not require anyunnatural movements.

Auto Retention is offered in both dutyand off duty holsters that feature eitherthe FingerLok or ThumbLok internalretention devices. Also, the AutoRetention concept is available on bothopen top holsters and those withthumb break straps.

There’s leather and then there’s Bianchi leather.Tanned and cured to our specifications we use premium grade, full grain veg-etable-tanned cowhide – the highest quality available. Then, we check every hide to make sure that only the best leather finds its way into our holsters.

Another thing you’ll notice is our outstanding finish. Our black leather is vat dyed and the excess is buffed off. Then we apply a top coat to prevent any possibility of color bleed. Our edges are burnished and dressed with a specialprotective compound or wax burnished by hand.

ConcealabilityThis is a relative term and most often is associated with the length ofthe barrel. In reality, the butt or handle of the gun presents thegreatest challenge. Inside the waist band holsters (IWB) and shoulderholsters provide the greatest concealment for most types of hand-guns, yet the trade-off is often comfort. They work well under jacketsor even lightweight shirts. Belt slides, when worn above and behindthe hip under a jacket, can also offer a high degree of concealability.

ComfortThe traditional belt holster provides the greatest comfort for mostusers. While it works well with all sizes of handguns, it allows largerframed handguns to be carried comfortably by evenly distributing theweight along the belt and belt loops. Some designs are full size holsters that cover the complete slide or barrel. Others are an abbreviated style often described as belt slides. The open bottomallows the slide or barrel to extend past the bottom of the holster.They allow several length pistols of the same design to be carried inone holster. To maximize comfort and security, the holster should beworn with a sturdy belt.

ConvenienceFor those who wear a firearm for short periods of time or tend to put iton or take it off frequently, the paddle holster is ideal. Originallydesigned for plainclothes investigators, paddle holsters have becomepopular with a wide variety of customers. The paddle slips inside thewaist band of the user's pants and anchors the holster to the body.When properly designed, the paddle is easy to put on but relatively dif-ficult to remove. This translates into a secure holster that will not comeoff the pants during a draw.

The snap-on style holster provides the convenience of a paddle holsterwith the stability and comfort of a belt holster. Instead of belt slots,leather loops wrap around the belt and are secured by snaps. The widebase of the snap loops works to distribute the weight of the pistol andprevents the holster from shifting on the belt.

ALTERATIONNeither your gun nor your Bianchi holster shouldbe modified in any way because alteration mayincrease the chance for accidental discharge. AllBianchi holsters are designed to function safelyand efficiently with modern, high quality factoryequipped handguns. Use of trigger shoes, targettriggers or grip adapters may prevent the hand-gun from correctly fitting the holster. Triggershoes, for example, are outmoded, removabledevices that provide a trigger surface which is usu-ally wider than the handgun’s protective triggerguard. Trigger shoe equipped handguns shouldnever be used with any holster, because an acci-dental discharge may occur which could causegreat harm, personal injury, or death.

SAFETY & CONSUMER INFORMATIONCARRYINGLoaded Firearms Carrying a firearm with a live cartridge in the chamber could result in an accidental discharge.Certain single-action revolvers and semiautomaticpistols should only be carried with the hammer orfiring pin resting on an empty chamber. It is yourresponsibility to exercise extreme caution when handling or carrying any handgun, and to assumeat all times that the gun is loaded.

Cocked Hammers Be sure your firearm is uncocked before placing itin the holster. Carrying a cocked firearm in the hol-ster or attempting to cock or uncock a firearm whenit is in the holster can result in an accidental dis-charge.

Take-Away Carrying a firearm is a serious responsibility andmust be given constant attention and awareness atall times. It is not possible for any holster to bemanufactured which is completely “take-awayproof”. It is your responsibility to exercise extremecaution at all times during any situation whereanother individual may attempt to take away yourhandgun and to strictly adhere to any procedure inwhich you have been trained.

Retention Do not rely on your holster’s retention capabilitiesto justify activity which may dislodge your firearm.Your firearm should be held in place by hand dur-ing vigorous physical activity to avoid the gunfalling from the holster. Always make sure thefirearm is firmly seated in its proper position in itsholster.

HOLSTERINGAlways point your handgun in a safe direction anduse extreme caution when holstering or unholster-ing your handgun to avoid an accidental discharge.Never place your finger inside the trigger guardwhile holstering or removing your gun from the holster. Keep your thumb on the back of the hammer or the slide when inserting your gun intothe holster to help prevent movement during insertion. Be certain that your handgun is securelyseated in the holster and that any integral strap isproperly engaged.

FITYour Bianchi holster should only be used with the specific gun model for which it was designed. Afterbeing certain your firearm is unloaded, you shouldtest your holster for proper fit. Never place aloaded firearm in a holster without first testing itunloaded for proper fit. Use only the handgun forwhich your holster was designed. If there is anydoubt, cease use immediately.It is important for your own safety and protectionthat you physically check the compatibility of thehandgun with the holster. Although Bianchiattempts to fit the most current model handguns,manufacturers of handguns constantly update theirproduct specifications, often several times per year.Even the slightest changes can have importantsafety consequences with regard to the way inwhich a gun fits a particular holster. Bianchi will notbe responsible for such changes or for typographi-cal or other human errors which can and do occurdespite diligent efforts.

Care and StorageStorage Store your leather in a cool, dry place. Highhumidity can cause mildew, while dry heat anddirect sunlight can cause drying and cracking. Ifyou leave your handgun in the holster or otherproduct, check it daily for moisture, condensationor corrosion. Changing atmospheric conditions,heavy perspiration and other factors could createsuch conditions.

Care Treat the interior of your holster with spray siliconeto help protect against excess moisture. It alsospeeds the draw by reducing friction.If your product becomes water-soaked, reshape itas best you can and allow it to air-dry at room tem-perature. Do not use a hot oven - it will shrink,harden and crack the leather.Because Bianchi leather is hand finished with ourspecial leather dressing, should your leather prod-uct become dry or scratched, you can treat theexterior with a commercial leather dressing thatdoes not contain lacquer. (Be careful when usingNeat’s foot oil; large amounts will soften theleather.)Brass cartridges or other brass hardware whenstored with leather will acquire a greenish residuecalled “verdigris”. It is a natural product of a chem-ical reaction between brass and vegetable tannedleather, and it wipes off. (Using nickel-plated cartridges in belt loops will avoid this condition.)

Storage AccuMold and AccuMold Elite products havebeen field-proven to withstand a wide variety ofenvironmental conditions. AccuMold andAccuMold Elite products should be stored in acool dry environment when not in use. We do notrecommend storing these products in a vehicletrunk or other areas where extreme heat canexceed the outside environment.

Cleaning AccuMold and AccuMold Elite products are bestcleaned with a solution of warm soapy water anda soft brush. A toothbrush and dish soap workwell. If decontamination is required, an antibac-terial soap or 10% solution of household chlorinebleach may be used. After cleaning simply rinseoff with fresh water and let air-dry. Be sure the prod-uct is completely dry inside and out prior to use. When AccuMold and AccuMold Elite products areexposed to salt spray or immersed in salt water itis important to thoroughly rinse in warm water assoon as possible. Never use solvents such as ace-tone to clean AccuMold products, as this couldresult in damage to the product.
