In vitro assay The crude extract and its derived soluble fractions showed excellent antioxidant activities.Of these the BuOH fraction was the strongest one.
In vivo assayMice pretreated with crude extract or BuOH fraction (10 mg/kg/day, i.p.) for 3 days, remarkably prevented the elevation of serum AST and ALT activities on CCl4-induced acute liver injury.
