Keuka College Storm2007 Women’s Soccer

The Keuka College women's soccer program returns the most prolific scorer inschool history, its top defender, and four-year starting goalie as it looks to improveon its 10-6 overall record from a season ago. The Storm made its mark in the NorthEastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), going 9-2 and finishing third overall.

Second-year and returning NEAC Coach of the Year Jamie Burke welcomes backsenior Nicole Bondellio, who has already rewritten the Keuka College record bookin her first three seasons. Bondellio, an All-NEAC first team selection for the thirdstraight year, led Keuka with 13 goals and 7 assists for 33 points. Currently theschool's all-time assists leader with 31, Bondellio needs only 13 goals and 10 points tobecome the school's leader in all three major categories.

Even with the continued offensive success of Bodellio, it was the Storm's defense thathelped them to 10 wins. Keuka's defense recorded nine shutouts, all coming againstNEAC opponents. Leading the defense is returning All-NEAC second team selectionKerry Callahan. Callahan, a three-year All-NEAC pick, was the leading defender that helped keep opponentsto a 1.06 goals scored average.

Assisting Callahan on defense is returning three-yearstarting goalie Kristi Chamberlain. Chamberlain alsoplayed a huge role in the Storm's nine shutouts byranking 41st nationally in save percentage (.867).Chamberlain finished with 65 saves while allowing amere 10 goals.

Returning to help Bondellio on the offensive side of thefield is All-NEAC performers Brenna Leach and ShanaJordan. Leach, a junior midfielder, finished second onthe team in goals (6), assists (4), and points (16). Jordan, also a junior midfielder, finished fourth on the team inpoints (11) while blasting 5 goals and dishing off anassist.

Returning after stellar rookie seasons are forwards Alyssa Gumtow, third on theteam in scoring (5-2-12), and Jessica VanScoter (3-3-9). Junior Brooke Coffey alsoreturns on offense.

Juniors Trista Partridge (2-1-5) and Audrey Randall and sophomore Brandi DuVall(0-1-1) return to the starting lineup on defense. Sophomores Rebecca Rozek andKayla Scouten also return to help keep opponents offenses at bay.
