Catching a Childs HeartOakridge Neighborhood Fishing is FunSaturday, May 31 | 9:00AMNoonBy Joe Lightfoot, Pastor of Adult Ministries

When God instructed parents to train up children accordingto how He has individually created and gifted them, (Proverbs22:6), I do not believe He had this method in mind

A more positive way to impact a number of local childrentocatch a childs heart is through assisting with the OakridgeNeighborhood Fishing is Fun outreach on Saturday, May 31,from 9:00 AM to noon. In this rst Takin it to the Streets event wewill be taking children from the Oakridge neighborhood shingat Water Works Park.

This is an ideal way to show the children of Oakridge (60%of the low income residents here are children) the love of Jesusthrough an activity He used to catch people for Gods eternalkingdom. You can help kids experience the fun of shing. In theprocess you will have an opportunity to share what Jesus meansto you through both your words and actions. This is what Takinit to the Streets is all about!

To participate, a shing license and a church backgroundcheck are required. To make all of this happen so you can takepart in this great ministry event, you can check the box on theCare & Communication Card, sign up at the table in the foyer,or call Sherri Stufebeem in the Childrens Ministry Ofce at255.2122.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were will-ing to stand up for the TRUTH no matter what! They may have been afraid, but they were

willing to die rather than worship an idol. Because of their bravery,King Nebuchadnezzar believed in God. If we are willing to bebrave and stand up for the TRUTH, He will bless us!

What an awesome year its been learning Gods truths! Thank you, Xtreme leaders, for helping to make it great. . .
