WHICH COCKING AID IS BEST FOR ME?

While cocking aids are often not essential touse your crossbow, we strongly recommendthat you use our rope cocker regardless ofwhether you can cock your crossbow without it.This is because the rope cocker guaranteesprecise centering of the crossbow’s string andtherefore accuracy is much better than the“Armstrong” method will allow. Rope cockersare generally enough for hunters with minor tomoderate shoulder or back problems orstrength issues, but the final determinationregarding your ability to cock your crossbowusing one is up to you and your doctor. If youneed more help to cock your crossbow, thenit’s time to consider the crankaroo. It willreduce total effort dramatically and allowalmost anyone to cock and use our crossbowsin comfort, but remember that crank devicesare much slower to use, bulkier, noisier, andmore expensive than rope cockers are. Onlychoose that option if you honestly require itand enjoy your crossbow hunting!
