Founded in 1906, the El Paso Country Club has hosted several prominent events such as the U.S. Open Regional Qualifying Rounds, the Western Refi ning College All-America Golf Classic, the Paul Stankowski Skins Challenge and the Women’s Southwestern Amateur.
The private El Paso Country Club golf course is an 18-hole course with a par of 71.

MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIPSSince 1976, College All-America Golf Classic Alumni have combined to win 42 major championships. Tiger Woods leads the way with 14 major championships, while Phil Mickelson and the late Payne Stewart recorded three playing on the PGA Tour. Other multi ple winners include John Daly (2), Mark O’Meara (2) and Curti s Strange (2). The 2008 season saw Tiger Woods (U.S. Open) add to his list. ESCHENBRENNER AWARD
The Eschenbrenner Award is named aft er tournament founder and PGA Golf Prefession-al Hall of Fame inductee Bill Eschenbrenner. In 1974, Echenbrenner with the help of Stu Hammond and Herb Wimberly, founded what is now known as the Western Refi ning College All-America Golf Classic to honor the nati on’s elite golfers.
The Eschenbrenner Award was estab-lished to honor those who have given back to the sport of golf and especially the All-Amer-ica Golf Classic.
The Western Refi ning College All-America Golf Classic is the only indivdual tournament in the NCAA. It is also an event that has award-ed over $600,000 in collegiate golf scholar-ships to parti cipati ng college programs.
