I just received the images of the set-up of this
very nice installation. Rachaporn and all(zone) are
doing it at Jim Thompson farm. Very smart
concept and very fascinating result. More at:

In this Tokyo trip, I didn't have a chance to see any
Kusama environments. Too bad, because they are
always very nice and very special. More about herat: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/...

Japanese Graphics
I really like when people send me images and links
related to my timeline flow. This is a detail of a
work by Kimura Tsunehisa (from 1968). More

In this conference in Florence there was also
Gianni Pettena, an old chap always witty and
smart. Once home I went to check his webpage. He is very organized and you can find all the
project he did through his life. The ice house is
the one I appreciate the most. 40 years ago, but it
could have been done yesterday.Bravo Pettena!

Some days ago I had dinner with Marco Zanini,
Santi Caleca and other friends. I haven't met
Marco since years, well, since he left for thePanamese jungle around 2002, 2003
Now he lives in Brazil, he built a beautiful house
for his girl and his daughter and he is truly happy
and in good mood (very strange, indeed...).
Anyway, to show me the big thing he did in the
Panamese island (the Liquid Jungle Lab) as well as
his house, we went to see his website (I didn't
know he had one). Lots of nice things there (sorare to have an architect doing a nice website).
Back home some days later I went back to see it
all and I discovered these images from a lost
exhibition in 1992.
A great concept. Marco had envisioned what to
Now, I know who did this
painting...

The Golgi City (as Imagined
by Fumihiko Maki)
do, then he found a painter (Luciano Paccagnella)
who did the manual part of the job. Really nice
stuff.
Between the others also this image here above. I
had seen it before, I loved it, I slipped into one of
my folders but I didn't know who did it and when
and why and all these things. Now i know, and this
gets me in very good mood.

I am not so fond of Maki's works, but this
conceptual project is really strong. Out of the
various visions by the Metabolist people, this one
is one of the most convincing (very sci-fi, indeed).

The Housing with Walls
Project
At this Metabolist exhibition, there was another
very nice project by Fumihiko Maki: The Housing
with Walls (year unknown). I couldn't find much
information about it, but the image is very
inspiring (at least to me). Here the link to the
