Dear Florida Golfers,

Thank you for supporting the Florida State Golf Association. As a member of the FSGA, you are helping us preserve and protect this great game.

We must first recognize all of the FSGA Committee Members who make our service to the game possible. There are more than 450 Committee Members across Florida who assist with tournaments and course rating. The FSGA has become one of the premier state golf associations in the country because of these fine men and women.

In 2012, the FSGA will conduct more than 450 days of competition including: 36 state championships, 50 USGA qualifying events, 28 Florida Junior Tour events and 150 One-Day tournaments. The Florida Junior Tour (FJT) continues to provide competitive and affordable tournaments for the state’s top junior golfers. In its ninth season, the FJT consists of 28 events for boys and girls ages 13-18. If you have the chance, come out to see these unbelievable junior golfers.

We hope you will join the FSGA as a Foundation Member and support the Future of Golf Foundation. The Foundation benefits the state’s juniors with college scholarships and as-sistance with travel expenses to state and national tournaments.

We appreciate your support and dedication to the game of golf.

Sincerely,

Jim ApplegateFSGA President

FSGA Scholars is a scholarship program made possible by the Florida State Golf Association and our Future of Golf Foundation. In the Spring of each year, the FSGA selects a minimum of five golfers from the FJT’s graduating class to be awarded a renewable four-year scholarship.

Each year, a total of $10,000 in college scholarships will be presented to a group of at least five high school seniors. The scholarships are renewable for up to four consecutive years, totaling $40,000 for each graduat-ing class.
