GETTING aROUNDWe believe the best ways to experience the Fringe are by bike or on foot--get exercise and protect the environment! Most of the venues are within walking distance of each other, so its possible to see four or five shows in close proximity. Use this Guide (and the Map on the back page) to plan your day accordingly. Most of all, be safe! Public Transportation LAs public transportation system (the Metro) includes buses and rail lines. There are two Hollywood stops (Red Line) indicated on the Map (at the back of this Guide). You can plan your public transportation trip using the Metro Trip Planner at www.metro.net. Parking If you must drive, Fringe has rented a parking lot this June at 6222 Santa Monica Blvd. (right across the street from the Fringe Central Box Office & Mainstage). All-day parking is discounted for Fringe button holders. Otherwise, parking in Hollywood can be difficult on evenings and weekends, so plan in advance. Always make sure to read the posted signs. There are many pay-to-park lots with flat rates from $8 to $15.

FRINGE HERO

FRINGE pROGRaMsFRINGE FaMILyThe Hollywood Fringe encourages families to participate in the festival and expose the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and creators to the arts. Fringe Family makes it easy for families to identify programming more appropriate (and fun) for their kids. All shows that register for Fringe Family pledge there is no foul language, subversive themes, or otherwise non-kid friendly material in their productions. Most Fringe Family shows are around an hour and include a suggested age to help you plan your family friendly fun. See Fringe Family shows throughout the festival or come to Fringe Central Station for a full day of activity on Sundays during the Festival (June 17th & 24th; 11 AM - 4 PM).

sTUDENT FRINGEThe Hollywood Fringe Festival is delighted and proud to announce Student Fringe, taking place on Friday, June 8th from 10 AM- 4 PM & Friday, June 15th from 10 AM- 2 PM. Student Fringe will provide middle and high school aged students with an immersive arts education experience through a full day of workshops and performances at the Fringe Mainstage at Open Fist (8th) & Actors Circle Theatre (15th). Student Fringe will be led by a diverse group of experienced LA-based actors, musicians, teachers, and producers from comedy to clowns, music to spoken word, and more. We want to show students the many ways they can be a part of the artistic community, the many different types of arts that are available to them, and to provide them with an experience that is both educational and entertaining.

zERO WasTE DaysThe Hollywood Fringe Cares About the Environment! The Fringe has committed to a series of Zero Waste Days on the days of the Opening & Closing Night Parties (June 13th & June 24th) and Fridays and Saturdays during the fest (June 15th, 16th, 22nd & 23rd) as part of a partnership with Crown Disposal. With the help of the Fringe community, we will push to divert over 60% of our trash from our local landfills. Fringe is also partnering with Repurpose Compostables to provide eco-friendly cups and containers for distribution at Bryans Bar. We encourage Fringers to leave their cars behind and explore the Fringe zone by bike or by foot!
