    Train@HomeMore Airlines around the world

    continue to choose the Mechtronix

    Train@Home Solution

    The innovative Train@Home

model is proving to be a popular

    choice or airlines that are

growing and ones that are seeking

    to improve their operational

    efciency. By providing the right

Starfyer became the rst in Japan to adopt the Mechtronix Train@Home

business model with its proven ability to dramatically cut the costs

associated with sending pilots away to train while improving availability and

    quality o their training operations.

Mr. Shinichi Yonehara, President and CEO o Starfyer: We demand the

very best in quality and reliability o the technology, he says, but also

greater fexibility in our operations. We looked at the other established

players in the market but selecting Mechtronix as the right partner became

    quickly obvious.

By having a Mechtronix simulator at our own training centre we will be

able to train our pilots at home, in their local environment, with all o the

commensurate savings in costs and time that this brings. We will no longer

have to send our pilots away, and will have the capacity to cope with urther

training demands, both initial and recurrent, as our airline grows.

The Mechtronix A320 FFS X was qualied Level D by the Japanese civil

aviation authorities JCAB and became ready or training on time as per the

original schedule. Mechtronix will also perorm maintenance and support

services or the A320 FFS X or the next ve years.

IFTC and Boeing have partnered to expand

the capabilities available to airline customers

in Turkey and the Region. This partnership

    combines the existing IFTC operations

with the training expertise o Boeing Flight

Services, resulting in a ull range o training

solutions that will address the growing

demand or commercial airline pilots in

the region. IFTC currently operates ve

Mechtronix B737NG and A320 ull fight

simulators and fat panel trainers in state o

the art acilities in Istanbul and Antalya.

Marty Van Veluw, CEO o IFTC, comments,

We had a mission when we started

operations almost 3 years ago: to oer the

highest quality o training, to constantlyimprove our services, to make it cost

ecient or our customers to train at IFTC

and to bring customer service back into the

training industry. We believe that the trust

Boeing has placed in us with the signing o

this agreement is a result o IFTC ollowing

its mission. Boeing, like IFTC, is orward

thinking and looks or creative solutions. We

thereore expect that this agreement is just

the beginning o a successul partnership or

Turkey as well as or the region, and we are

very excited to be working together

    Operators seek the most motivated,

committed and skilled fight crew; this is

why major airlines such as QuantasLink,Virgin Australia, Dragonair and Cathay

Like us, Mechtronix commits to excellence

    - MPLThe MPL is the latest ab-initio training paradigm that aims to provide new co-pilots specically

trained and competent rom day one or the right hand seat o a commercial airliner. As such there

is a strong dependence on the use o Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) throughout all our

phases o the MPL, rom PPL fying in Phase I to the eventual type rating in Phase IV.

Mark Dranseld, VP at Mechtronix, added We saw that the FSTD needs o our

MPL customers in phases II and III diered considerably depending on how they

structured the balance o live and virtual fying in their basic and intermediate MPL

phases. As well as the generic jet XJ FTD that we already supplied we identied

the requirement or a more type specic device capable o gradually introducing

the eventual line aircrat system complexity while maintaining the generic training

principles rom day one o Phase II right up until the type rating. So we developed

our FFT X MPL concept which is a ully type specic cockpit with FFS handling, perormance,

sound and visual systems but with a congurable overhead panel to allow the instructor to build up

system complexity without the students getting overwhelmed as they develop MCC and CRM skills.
