It’s good to be back in the Golden Isles of Georgia. It was difficult to leave the Ryder Cup with the Europeans. But I can’t be more proud of our team. They conducted themselves with class all week and inspired fans. They showed fans what golf is all about and how to act.

I expect we’ll see a similar level of competition, sportsmanship and love for the game at this week’s McGladrey Classic. It doesn’t seem like it was three years ago that The McGladrey Classic made its inaugural debut on the PGA TOUR.

Our event became an instant Seaside Tradition, known for its field strength, intimate environment, relaxed atmosphere and great fun. To hear players, caddies, officials, sponsors, volunteers and spectators express the great time they had and tell us they couldn’t wait to come back is a real testament to the work of our tournament staff.

Tournament proceeds have enabled us to give almost a half million dollars to charity. This year, it’s our goal to raise another half million for charities that benefit children and their families.

We’re delighted you’re here. We hope you enjoy your time with us.

Sincerely,

Davis Love IIIMcGladrey Classic Chairman and HostTeam McGladrey Member

Welcome to The McGladrey Classic!

2012 marks the third year of this exciting PGA TOUR Fall Series event. We are delighted to return to Sea Island to continue the tradition – and even more pleased that you are here with us.

The first two tournaments were huge successes by any measure, with tens-of-thousands of golf enthusiasts joining us here on the island, and millions tuning in via The Golf Channel. Thousands of volunteers have generously donated their time and talents during the past several years to provide visitors with the Southern hospitality for which Sea Island is known. And, perhaps most importantly, the tournaments have raised $450,000 for Special Olympics and Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia. We’re looking forward to even bigger things this year!

As one of the country’s leading providers of assurance, tax and consulting services, McGladrey has a history of supporting the game of golf, and we’re happy to have Team McGladrey members and PGA TOUR professionals Chris DiMarco, Zach Johnson and Davis Love III rounding out this week’s strong player field.

In conjunction with The McGladrey Classic, our firm’s “power of being understood” national advertising campaign illustrates that – whether in business or in golf – a trusted partner who truly understands “your game” can help you succeed. That’s the type of relationship our clients expect from us, and we deliver by providing global capabilities and experience with a high level of trusted, personal service. The McGladrey Classic is a unique opportunity for us to share this message on a global stage.

At the heart of The McGladrey Classic is our partnership with The Davis Love Foundation, which supports charitable organizations that benefit children and their families. At McGladrey, we have a long history of giving back to the communities where we live and work through volunteerism and financial donations. We are pleased to extend our core value of stewardship to the Sea Island community through this outstanding event.

Thank you for your support of The McGladrey Classic. Enjoy the tournament!

Sincerely,

Joseph M. AdamsManaging Partner and CEOMcGladrey LLP

On behalf of the PGA TOUR, it is my pleasure to welcome you to The McGladrey Classic, hosted once again by Sea Island resident and U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III. Not only does Davis serve as Tournament Chairman, he will also be competing against an outstanding field in the next-to-last tournament of the 2012 PGA TOUR season.

The first two editions of the McGladrey Classic have been a resounding success, with Sea Island Golf Club providing a tremendous venue for the PGA TOUR and producing worthwhile winners in Heath Slocum (2010) and Ben Crane (2011) – both picking up their fourth PGA TOUR win.

We would like to thank our friends at McGladrey LLP – one of the nation’s leading assurance, tax and consulting firms – for their partnership and support of the PGA TOUR. With significant support from The McGladrey Classic, the PGA TOUR continues its commitment to elevate and expand giving back efforts through the charity platform, “Together, anything’s possible,” designed to engage our players, tournaments and sponsors, charities, fans and volunteers to build upon and elevate the TOUR’s tradition of charitable giving.

The PGA TOUR is pleased to be working again with the Davis Love Foundation, with tournament proceeds benefiting Special Olympics, the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia and other local charities. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who donate countless hours of service time to ensure a successful event.

The tournament staff and the PGA TOUR thank you for your attendance and support of the 2012 McGladrey Classic.

Best wishes for an enjoyable tournament.

Sincerely,

Timothy W. FinchemCommissioner

Welcome to Sea Island!

For nearly 85 years, Sea Island has welcomed guests and golf professionals from across the country and around the world who have come here for what we believe is the best resort golf experience in the country. This week, we are proud to welcome you to the third annual McGladrey Classic.

Thanks to the efforts of many people, this tournament has been a great success in its first two years. The PGA TOUR players count this among their favorite stops on tour. We are fortunate to have such a great relationship with Davis Love III, who originated and ran with the idea of the tournament and whose family has meant so much to Sea Island. Davis and his brother, Mark, the tournament staff, the PGA TOUR, and the Davis Love Foundation have assembled a playing field and a schedule of events that will make for another exceptional week.

We owe special thanks to the team at McGladrey for not only their role as tournament sponsor, but also for their valued partnership with Sea Island. Further, this tournament would not be possible without the incredible contributions of our other sponsors and patrons, our tireless volunteers, my fellow Sea Island team members, and the active and enthusiastic support of our entire Golden Isles community. We appreciate their commitment to the tournament, our community, and the charities which will benefit from it.

We hope you enjoy the tournament and will return to play Seaside for yourself and experience everything else Sea Island has to offer.

Sincerely,

Scott SteilenPresident

Have a PlanThere are basically two ways to watch a golf tournament. Parade style –where you pick a spot and watch the field pass by – or cross-countrystyle – where you follow a particular player or group around the course.

Daily Pairings Sheet & MapA Pairings Sheet is included in the center of this Guide. Find out whenthe players tee off and the order of the groups. The Pairings Sheet includesa course map. Check the scoreboards to find out who the leaders are andwhere they are on the course. One way to tell the players from a distanceis to look for their caddies, who wear vests that have color-coded pocketsand trim (green, blue or gray). Colors are indicated on the PairingsSheet. Visit mcgladreyclassic.com for next day pairings information.

Check the WeatherCheck the weather forecast before you visit The McGladrey Classic anddress appropriately. Expect mild mornings and warm, sunny afternoons,so dressing in layers is the best idea.

Inclement Weather Policy for Spectators

Observe the leaderboards throughout the golf course for “weather warning” signs that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. When this sign appears, spectators are advised to take precautions PRIOR to play being suspended. If the siren sounds, seek shelter immediately.

Avoid the Following:  Open areas Hilltops/high places    Isolated trees   Golf carts  Wire fences

This signature hole requires thinking on the tee. With a tidal creek running the entire left side ofthe driving area, players will hit their tee shots outto the right, but the farther right you play, thelonger the second shot to the well protected green.A bunker protects the green on the front, rightside while a false front runs the entire left side.
