Whatever you give a woman, she will make

greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a

baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a

home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a

meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her

heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to

her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to

    receive a ton of shit!

Running US Steel at the turn of the 20th century,

Charles Schwab was perhaps the first person in

America to earn a salary of $1m a year. What

made him so successful? Was he a genius? No. Did

he know more about steel than other people?

Certainly not. So how did he get ahead? Schwab

knew how to make people like him, observed

Dale Carnegie. With charm, confidence and a good

smile, anyone can climb the ladder of success.

    Museomix: People Make Museums

How can you make your museum an open and co-

    creative place?

How can you open your museum to enthusiastic

teams of designers, hackers, makers, artists,

specialists, creators of all sorts, other museum and

    free spirited people?

How can you invite them to co-create, in a timely

fashion, and a conducive environment, new and

inventive ways of visiting/using your museum?

How can you help visitors become users? How can

you make your museum open, networked, and

    participative?

Museomix is an experiment to help you do allthese things!

Over three consecutive days, participants design,

co-create and test new ways to mediate

    exhibitions, and experience the museum.

    together.

    The Moonbecomes a metaphor.

Space Metropoliz is a short movie. A documentary.

An experiment on participatory design. An art

installation. A set of creative workshops. An

anthropological research. A temporary space for

    art. Much more.

Here the link (in Italian): http://www.

    spacemetropoliz.com/

    Fabrizio Boni explains:

The occupants of an old abandoned factory -

renamed Metropoliz - decide to leave the

barricades and to escape once and for all from the

city that puts them on the margins of society,

denying home, work, health and legality. Their

plan is simple: build a rocket to go live on the

moon. This is the story that two directors and

anthropologists have imagined, to tell the mestizo

city who lives illegally in Metropoliz for 4 years,

    populated by Italian, Tunisian, Peruvians,

Ukrainians, Africans and Roma.To trace the route

to the moon, were called philosophers,

    astrophysicists, astronauts, ufologists, radical

architects and dozens of artists, who have given

birth, for one year (the year of the crisis and

Occupy Wall Street), at a cinematic and artistic

yard. The daily difficulties, the weight of needs,

have not prevented the inhabitants of Metropoliz,

to respond to the provocation and build a

telescope and a rocket ready to go ... winning a

much bigger challenge: to demonstrate that art

can change the world, that the dream and

imagination are things that belong to everyone,

without exception; that anything can become a

symbol of redemption and a possible change.

    Very nice!

Today, I received a mail from Lorenzo Romito and

Giulia Fiocca. They are in Chile, where they did one of their long

    walk/project/performance.

A long walk. Going to some special places in the

local history.Collecting a special memory: seven rolls of rusted

wire found in an abandoned house near the

museum "Desde la solidariedas hasta la Victoria". A

house used by political police to torture political

    prisoners.

The wire has been folded to represent their 12 km

    Tip more than you should.

Be a regular at more than one bar.

Act like youve been there before. It doesnt

matter if its in the end zone at the Super Bowl or

    on a private plane.

A glass of wine or two with lunch will not ruin your

    day.

    Learn how to fly-fish.

Theres always another level. Just be content

knowing that you are still better off than most

    who have ever lived.

You can get away with a lot more if you're the one

    buying the drinks.

    Dont split a check.

Pretty women who are unaccompanied want you

    to talk to them.

When a bartender buys you a round, tip double.

    Piercings are liabilities in fights.

Do not use an electric razor.

Desserts are for women. Order one and pretend

you dont mind that shes eating yours.

One girlfriend at a time is probably enough.

Measure yourself only against your previous self.

Staying angry is a waste of energy.

Drink outdoors. And during the day. And

    sometimes by yourself.

You cannot have a love affair with whiskey

because whiskey will never love you back.

Never take an ex back. She tried to do better and

    is settling with you.

Ignore the boos. They usually come from the

    cheap seats.

Start a wine collection for your kids when they are

born. Add a few cases every year without telling

them. Itll make a phenomenal gift in twenty

    years.

Remember, rules are for the obedience of fools

    Last Night...

Have you ever wondered if you can knit and braid

a building and if it could be lightweight as air?

The myThread Pavilion by Jenny Sabin was

commissioned by Nike Inc. for the International

Nike FlyKnit Collective due to its innovative

concept which works on the edge between art,

    architecture, design and science.

Fusions of science, art and technology open the

door to new ways of thinking about structure and

the relationship of the body to technology, while

bio architecture and digital architecture deliver

solutions, new understandings, new forms and a

way for mathematics and generative systems to

investigate the complexities of natural form and

    La Triennale di Milano

Tuesday the 13th of November, 7 PM at

Pietro Fornasetti: Centoanni di follia pratica

I was trapped in a room with two ways to get out.

One lead to certain death and the other lead to

    freedom.

I didn't know which is which.

There were two guards, one in front of each door.

They would let me choose one door but upon doing

so I had to go through it.

I could, however, ask one guard one question.

The problem was that one guard always told the

truth, the other always lied and I didn't know

    which is which.

What is the question that I asked to avoid death?

For the last eight years I have been working on a

series of hemp and linen sculptures called Noble

    Savages.

Now I would like to create a limited-edition artist

book documenting the context, process, and craft

behind the sculptures. I am using Kickstarter to

raise at least $5,000 towards the costs of printing.

The book will be produced with high-quality

archival paper (250 gsm heaven 42 paper by

Scheufelen) and printed using offset technologies.

Please check out the rewards I have arranged for
