In baseball, he was a pitcher and outfielder earning honorable mention all-conference as a junior and first team all-conference as a senior. However, Kenny had the most success on the football field. Lee Ann participated in athletics at West Holmes High School beginning her freshman year in 1983 until her graduation in 1987. She was a 3 year letter winner in volleyball, a 4 year letter winner in basketball, a 3 year letterman in track and also garnered a varsity letter in softball her senior year, making her the first woman at West Holmes to accomplish this task. She was selected as the district V player of the year in volleyball her senior year and was also a second team All-Ohioan in volleyball that year. She was a member of one of the winningest basketball programs in Ohio high school history, of which their 108 win streak record still stands today. As a member of these teams, she was also part of history when they won 3 consecutive Division II state championships under the leadership of legendary coach, Jack VanReeth. Besides first team league honors, Lee Ann was named as the MVP of the state tournament her junior year and was also an honorable mention selection to the All-State team. As a senior, she also received first team league and district honors, and was a first team choice for All-Ohio that year. As a Lady Knight, Race accumulated a total of 989 total points and currently sits 6th on the all time scoring list at West Holmes. As a member of the varsity track team for 3 years, she earned league championships in the long jump and high jump, her most successful events. As a senior, Lee Ann garnered the Lady Knight of the Year award for her athletic and academic accomplishments over her four year career for the red, white and blue. After high school, she played basketball for one year at Muskingum College and then transferred to North Central State College, where she received her Associates Degree in Business Management. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management through Ashford University, with a probable graduation date of October 2014. She began coaching 7th grade basketball under current Lady Knight coach and former teammate, Lisa Patterson 6 years ago. This not only rekindled her love for the game, but she found the chance to pass on her desire and skills to the youth of the community to be very rewarding. It was this opportunity that was the beginning of a new career path for Lee Ann, as it opened up many doors for her and has led her to her current position as the Athletic Director at West Holmes High School. As the A.D., she again finds herself teaming up with another former teammate in Superintendant Kris Pipes-Perone, running the point once more. Lee Ann has been supported the entire way by her parents, Clarence and Donna Myers and her husband Tony, whom she has been married to for the past 16 years. They reside near Lakeville and have two children: A.J. (15) and Paige (10), who are also students and athletes in the West Holmes district.
