No Halcyon Distributor Meeting in 2013Fujitsu will not be having a Halcyon Distributor Meeting in 2013 in conjunctionwith the AHR Expo as we’ve done in previous years. We will adopt an alternating year schedule. We will resume our Halcyon Distributor Meeting in2014 when the AHR Expo is taking place in New York City. We look forwardto seeing you in the Big Apple!

Fujitsu RLS2H inverter-driven heat-pumps are part of the XLTH (Extra-Low-Temperature Heating) series. These models are AHRI rated up to12.5 HSPF and 27.2 SEER. The onlymini-split systems capable of delivering100% of heating capacity at outdoortemperatures down to -15˚F, makingthe RLS2H systems a super-efficientextra-low-temperature heating solution.
In an interest to minimize SKU’s,Fujitsu has introduced modelsAOU9RLS2H, AOU12RLS2H, andAOU15RLS2H for distributors in coldweather climates. The condensingunits include a modified base, a basepan heater, special defrost control, anda PCB with heater interface and relay.
RLS2H outdoor unit costs 17% morethan RLS2 outdoor unit. To minimizeSKU’s a distributor should select forheating purposes a Fujitsu system thatprovides the proper amount of heat forthe area of the country for which theydistribute. In some climates supplemental heat will still be required.
Equipment selection should be basedon heat load and, capacity information provided in the design and technicalmanual. Keep in mind that capacitydata does not include defrost, so asafety margin of 20% should be factored in when using this data. Themap provided should be considered aguide and not an absolute. While allmodels can be used in all zones, somerequire supplemental heat.

• You can stock the RLFW and RL2 models for cooling, regardless of what area of the country you’re in.
• RLFW can provide heat down to +5˚F and RL2 down to +14˚F but will require auxillary heat below these temperatures.

Fujitsu’s indoor RLS2 models are now compatible with outdoor multi-zone units* so contractorscan choose between different wall mounted styles as well as different evaporator styles (wallmounted, compact cassette or slim duct). And, there are no added SKU’s for distributors!

ew in 2013?
Systems 9R2 and 12R2 are being replaced by115V Inverter Systems 9RL2 and 12RL2.
What’s New?
• Inverter TechnologyCompressors only run as fast as they need to handle the cooling or heating demand.
• Higher EfficiencyAt 16.0-SEER, these systems are up to 15% more efficient than theR2 systems they replace.
• Same Price as Previous Model This is the entry level model which includes great value for the features provided. Systems have been designed to maintain the price.
The Branch Box Enclosure is usedto mount the indoor style BranchBox outdoors. The Branch BoxEnclosure is a painted metal coverto match the condensing unit.
When Branch Box OutdoorEnclosure is not required, seeInstallation Manual for indoormounting instructions.
In 2013 Fujitsu will introduce a new wired remote control to itsline of optional accessories. This new remote will feature alarge backlit LCD display and displays the room temperature.
