Game Day - No. 28 - February 14
Doane College at Morningside College
The last time Doane took on No. 1 Morningside, the Mustangs posted a two-point victory in overtime back in January. The Tigers will look for the same effort as they step up as the next team looking to hand Morningside their first loss of the season. The Mustangs have successfully prevent the first 27 opponents from doing so.
Morningside has relied on defense to key their success, ranking 3rd in the NAIA in steals and 4th in turnover margin this year. The Mustangs average 77.0 points per game and allow 58.8 per game.
Taylor Bahensky leads the team with 12.1 points per game. Ashlynn Muhl adds 12.0 points and 8.6 rebounds a contest. Lexi Ackerman is contributing 10.0 points and Madison Braun averages 9.4 points with a team-high 61 3-point baskets.
