What is the BB program?

• Big Buddy: /biɡ/ //ˈbədē /

A peer mentor who has taken some, if not all, of the prerequisites for dental school

A friend who may be able to share their experiences about their pre-dental journey thus far

A registered UCD PDS member of junior/senior status

• Little Buddy: /ˈlidl //ˈbədē /

An incoming freshman or transfer student who is interested in dentistry

A registered UCD PDS member who wants to learn more

about the pre-dental life

Why should I care?

• You get to meet new people. Dentistry is, above all, a people-based business.

• See dentistry in a someone else’s perspective.

• Participation grants 1 out of 3 points to become an active member of PDS.

• Get VIP access to exclusive Big Buddy events :P

Requirements: 2 Meet ups

1. Hang out (Eat out, watch a movie, study together, play video games…etc.)

2. Go to 1 PDS event together:

What if I troll and sign up to get 1 point, but do not fulfill the 2 meet-ups requirement?

You may face possible incrimination (up to 5 years) and legal action from the University of California.

Kidding. But if you do not fulfill the requirements after signing up, the following may happen:

1. Have a one-on-one chat with me to figure out what went wrong and how we can resolve the issue.

2. You may lose your eligibility to participate in the program the following quarter.

3. You will lose the 1 point that was given to you for signing up, and may also lose an additional point.

This allows me to have enough time to make the best possible pairs of buddies.
