Doane College at Northwestern College

Doane and Northwestern will face off in the conference opener for the second straight season. The Tigers won last year’s game in Crete, 34-27, in the NAIA Game of the Week. For the third straight season, Northwestern will enter the game ranked in the Top 20 of the NAIA.

Scouting Northwestern... the Red Raiders were plagued by turnovers in their first outing as well, committing seven against Bacone College. Bacone scored six touchdowns in a 41-33 come-from-behind victory. All six touchdowns came with possession starting in Red Raider territory. Take away the turnovers and Northwestern dominated Bacone statistically.

Offensively, Northwestern posted 376 yards in total offense with a balanced attack. On 48 carries, NWC ran for 187 yards. They threw 32 pass attempts, completing 18 for 189 yards.
