Dear CCR Supporter, It is a pleasure to share the major success we have had in moving the importance of Early Learning to the front of the class in our state! July 2015 will long be remembered as the start of a new age of commitment to fund early learning services in the state budget; recognizing the importance of the early years as the foundation for children’s future success. I have watched in amazement over this past year as our staff has successfully developed partnerships with licensed child care providers that have resulted in increased quality of care they provide for children in child care settings. Our staff spends significant time (1 – years) coaching and readying providers to be assessed by the University of Washington evaluators who validate that the teachers and caregivers are meeting best practice standards!

Ultimately the real win is about the children in our community being ready for kindergarten because they have been supported to develop cognitively and socially to be successful. That’s the important work CCR is doing with providers across the county. Thanks for your partnership with us. Your support allows us to make this impact. I believe the best is yet to come as we move towards being able to touch even more providers and children in the coming years. With gratitude, Deeann

Our Misson

Child Care Resources improves all children’s access to high quality early learning experiences by engaging with families, caregivers, and communities.

Child Care Resources is dedicated to advancing racial equity because children are harmed by the inequities of race and class they experience.

We believe that investing in children leads to a better future. That’s why our vision is that every child has a great start in school and in life.

I support CCR because they make a difference for children and families.Natalie Robbecke The Boeing Company

Working With The Whole Early Learning System

Early learning professionals demonstrate a commitment to creating quality programs for young learners by enrolling in Early Achievers, Washington’s quality rating and improvement system.

In 2014, CCR furthered that commitment through regular one-on-one coaching with nearly 800 early learning professionals, hosting 200 professional development trainings and providing supporting resources. Together we are building a growing network of quality programs for children, giving families more choices for quality child care.

With my CCR coach I’ve learned to ask questions that facilitate curiosity, and helps the kids to not be afraid of trying and failing.Family Child Care Provider,East King County

Choosing Child Care is an Important Decision for All Parents.

Families need help finding child care e ery day. Last year more than 16,000 families received education and referrals to make informed child care decisions through in-depth conversations with CCR’s Family Call Center Specialists. Of the families served almost three quarters were low income and sought help to pay for child care.

Many young children spend their days with family members, friends and neighbors. CCR’s facilitated Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups reached over 3,300 informal caregivers and the children in their care in 2014—more than 55% spoke a language other than English at home.

Getting personalized help over the phone was extremely useful. I was able to explain my situation and figure outmy child care options.Family Call Center Customer,South King County
