A message from the President...

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It's the “Ides of March” (March 15) and there is an exciting array of activities happening this

month. We just had the annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 13th and had an excellent turnout.

Everyone enjoyed a tremendous meal of fish, beans, cole slaw, and this year, french fries. Lee

and Nanci and their legion of volunteers did an outstanding job and it was very much

appreciated.

Events such as the Fish Fry take a tremendous amount of planning and people. Without

volunteers, neither the Fish Fry nor any other event would be successful in Lake Hammock

Village. This is why I wanted to take this opportunity to express, on behalf of the HOA, our

appreciation for all that our volunteers do. In addition, there are several individuals who go

waaaay beyond being a volunteer and I would like to recognize them here.

Many of you have noticed the clearing of the paths in the woods by the lake.

There are three individuals who deserve recognition for this:

**David Butcher **Blevins Hensley **Gary Henrichs

You may have also noticed the new TV for our clubhouse. To mount this unit required removal

of the old Bingo board and painting of the wall. The individuals responsible for this were:

**Richard Gould **Jim Fischer **Dave Kelly **Richard Spiegel

And finally, many of you have noticed and particpated in Horseshoes at our new “Horseshoe

Pits”. The people responsible for this were:

**Lee Emery **Norm Baczkiewicz **Dave Kelly

**Jim Fischer **Richard Spiegel A famous politician once stated, “it takes a village”, and boy does that ever apply to our

community. In other words, if you, as residents, want to see things happen in our beautiful

community, then it takes everyone to help out, either by hosting an event/activity, or assisting

others. Sign-up sheets can always be found in the clubhouse and new ideas are always welcome.

It is also important, that as residents, we support those hosts/hostesses that take it upon

themselves to plan and execute their activities.

Once again, a big THANK YOU to ALL our volunteers.

Finally, as we move towards the end of March, many of our friends and neighbors will be heading

back home. On behalf of myself and the HOA, PLEASE have a safe trip home and we look

forward to your return in the fall.

Clark Smith

President, HOA 2015

We would like to send out a great big THANK YOU

to all the Lake Hammock Village residents that

helped make our Relay for Life endeavor a great

success.

To everyone that helped organize the materials for set up, helped to decorate, helped to run our booth,

walked, donated money and time, and donated all those delicious baked goods, thank you so much!!! We not only met our goal, but surpassed it by over 1.5 times, for a wonderful cause. As our banner said, this certainly is the "Community with Heart". THANK YOU!! Calvin and Dawn Maluchnick

The 2015 St. Patrick’s Potato Bar was attended by

48 residents. Numerous toppings like chili, beef, salsa and broccoli made well stacked potatoes. We also had a great salad and vegetable soup. A variety of desserts topped off the meal. Thank you to: Joanne Marko and Karen Wilson for decorating the tables; Eileen LeMay and Jane Biba for baking potatoes; Maria Combs for her great salad; and Sharon Bowden and Karen Wilson for their fabulous desserts. Finally, a huge thank you to all those helping hands that helped in any way, especially the clean-up crew. Thanks to all the helpers! Hacy and Joyce Wright
