POISED PROPORTIONS. True believers, take note: SS upholds the Chevrolet performance tradition in dramatic style. Rear-wheel-drive proportions are enhanced by a sculpted shape with a “wheels-to-the-corners” stance and short overhangs. The aggressive front fascia flows into a tightly drawn midsection, transitioning to a tapered rear that helps manage airflow.

ATHLETIC STANCE. With polished forged-aluminum wheels — 19" x 8.5" up front and 19" x 9" in back — wrapped in summer-only performance tires,1 SS has the refined agility of a highly tuned sport sedan.

6.2L LS3 V8. It powered the C6 Corvette, and it is one of the great V8 engines of the modern era. Clearly, the 415-hp, 6.2L small block V8 separates SS from any V6-powered would-be competitor.

ZERO TO 60 IN 4.7 SECONDS. With a 6-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, limited-slip rear differential and Traction Control, SS will rush from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

SAFETY

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT. This feature alerts the driver through the Head-Up Display to potential front-end crash risks, helping provide additional time to respond to avoid the crash or reduce impact speed.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING. This camera-based system sends a flashing visual and left/right auditory alert if you unintentionally drift out of your lane above 35 mph (without activating the turn signal).

SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT. Utilizing radar sensors on both sides of SS, it identifies vehicles in your side mirror blind zones and triggers LED-lit symbols in the corresponding exterior mirrors to signal their presence.

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT. Employing the same radar sensors as Side Blind Zone Alert, it signals you of crossing traffic behind your SS when backing up by sounding an alert and providing visual cues on the rear vision camera screen.

AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST. This ingenious system, a Chevrolet first, enables SS to detect viable parking spaces, determine approach angles and take over the steering to neatly maneuver into an available space. Throttle, brake and transmission (or gear selection) input is still required by the driver, but the vehicle steers itself into any suitable-sized reverse parallel or reverse right-angle (90-degree) parking spot.

REAR VISION CAMERA. When traveling in reverse at low speeds, the rear vision camera provides a real-time picture of the area immediately behind your SS on the 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen.
