BIG TEN. BIG NEWS.• Five schools improved to 2-0 in Big Ten play, with four of those programs compeng in theEast Division. Saturday’s schedule will feature a pair of meengs between East Division teamswith 2-0 conference records, as Michigan faces Michigan State and Ohio State hosts PennState. Iowa, also 2-0 in conference acon, visits Northwestern on Saturday.
• Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State each improved to 6-0 on Saturday, three of only six 6-0teams in the country. The Buckeyes are 6-0 for the first me since 2013, while the Spartanshave won their first six games for the first me since 2010. The Hawkeyes are off to their beststart since winning their first nine games in 2009.
• With their sixth victories, Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State have all secured bowl eligibili-ty. Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State are each one win away from six victories. The Big
Ten will connue to feature the largest bowl lineup in conference history, and the full list ofBig Ten postseason desnaons can be found on page five. • Ohio State added to its naon-leading winning streak with its victory over Maryland onSaturday, marking the Buckeyes’ 19th straight triumph. Michigan State earned its 10th consec-uve win on Saturday, which ranks as the fourth-longest acve winning streak in the FootballBowl Subdivision.
• Iowa’s Jordan Canzeri rushed for 256 yards on Saturday, becoming the third Big Ten runningback to break the 200-yard plateau this season and second in as many weeks. Ohio State’sEzekiel Ellio carried the ball for 274 yards on Oct. 3, while Indiana’s Jordan Howard brokeloose for 203 yards on Sept. 19. • Big Ten players have rushed for at least 100 yards 42 mes this season, with 10 of those per-formances coming from eight diff erent freshmen. Minnesota’s Shannon Brooks andWisconsin’s Dare Ogunbowale added their names to that list on Saturday, with Brooks rushingfor 176 yards at Purdue and Ogunbowale carrying the ball for 117 yards at Nebraska. Other Big
Ten freshmen to break the century mark are Michigan State’s Madre London and LJ Sco,Minnesota’s Rodney Smith, Penn State’s Saquon Barkley, Purdue’s Markell Jones andWisconsin’s Taiwan Deal.
• Michigan became the first Big Ten team to produce three straight shutouts since 1980, whenthe Wolverines accomplished the feat. Michigan leads the country in scoring defense by allow-ing only 6.3 points per game, while ranking second in total and passing defense and third inrushing defense.
• Eleven Big Ten defensive players rank among the top 25 naonally in sacks per game, includ-ing four in the top 10. Aer recording two sacks Saturday against Indiana, Penn State’s CarlNassib leads the naon with 1.67 sacks per contest. Nassib is followed by Wisconsin’s JoeSchobert (third with 1.50 sacks per game), Indiana’s Nick Mangieri (seventh with 1.17) andMaryland’s Yannick Ngakoue (ninth with 1.08).

The 2015 Big Ten Football Championship Game will kick off from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at 8:17 p.m. ET on December 5,
2015.
The winner of the East Division will meet the winner of the West Division, with the game’s victor earning the Big Ten Champion-
ship and a chance to play in one of the six bowls that comprise the College Football Playoff , including the Rose Bowl Game.
FOX will serve as the offi cial broadcast partner of the Big Ten Football Championship Games through 2016, and Lucas Oil Stadium will
host the tle games through 2021.

BIG TEN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
The Big Ten will continue to honor its past while recog-
nizing its current standouts at the conclusion of the
2015 campaign. The Big Ten’s enhanced football awards
program presents 18 individual trophies in addition to
the Big Ten Championship trophy, bearing the names of
one or two former standouts. The distinguished names
on these football awards honor just a small sampling ofthe countless students and coaches who have contribut-
ed to the conference’s rich and storied history.
Seventeen of the honors will be awarded immediately
following the regular season, including awards for the
best quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end,
offensive lineman, defensive lineman, linebacker, defen-
sive back, kicker and punter. Each of these individual
position awards features the names of two former play-
ers.
The Big Ten will also continue to honor the conference’s
top coaches, offensive and defensive players and line-
men and freshmen with end-of-year trophies. Big Tencoaches have the opportunity to claim two awards.
Media voters will select the Dave McClain Coach of the
Year, which has been awarded since 1972, while coach-
es vote for the Hayes-Schembechler Coach of the Year
award. The top offensive player will receive the
Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year award, the
best defensive player will be awarded the Nagurski-
Woodson Defensive Player of the Year award and the
best first-year standout will receive the Thompson-
Randle El Freshman of the Year award.
The winner of the Big Ten Football Championship Game
will receive the Amos Alonzo Stagg Championship
Trophy, while the most outstanding player in the gamewill be awarded the Grange-Griffin Championship Game
MVP award. The conference also created two postcolle-
giate awards - the Ford-Kinnick Leadership Award and
the Dungy-Thompson Humanitarian Award.

The Big Ten football championship will be decided by a game played between thetwo division champions. A team or teams that are not eligible to parcipate in apostseason football bowl game as a result of NCAA and/or Big Ten sancons shall notbe eligible to parcipate in the Big Ten Football Championship Game. The winner ofthe Big Ten Football Championship Game will represent the conference in one of thebowls that comprise the College Football Playoff - the Coon, Fiesta, Peach, Orange,Rose or Sugar Bowl. If the Big Ten Champion is ranked No. 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the final Col-lege Football Playoff poll, the team will play in a semifinal game. Otherwise, the BigTen Champion will play in the Rose Bowl Game (when not hosng a semifinal) or theCoon, Fiesta or Peach Bowl.
The following procedure will determine the representave from each division in theevent of a e:(a) If two teams are ed, the winner of the game between the two ed teams
shall be the representave.(b) If three or more teams are ed, steps 1 through 7 will be followed unl a
determinaon is made. If only two teams remain ed aer any step, thewinner of the game between the two ed teams shall be the representave.
1. The records of the threeed teams will be compared against eachother.
2. The records of the threeed teams will be compared within their division. 3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next
highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, and 6). 4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common
conference opponents. 5. The highest ranked team in the first College Football Playoff poll following the compleon of Big Ten regular season conference play
shall be the representave in the Big Ten Championship Game, unlessthe two highest rankeded teams are ranked within one spot of eachother in the College Football Playoff poll. In this case, the head-to-
head results of the top two rankeded teams shall determine therepresentave in the Big Ten Championship Game.
6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representave. 7. The representave will be chosen by random draw.
If one or both of the Big Ten division champions is ineligible to play in the Big TenChampionship Game, then the parcipant(s) in the Big Ten Championship Game shalbe determined by the following procedure:a) If the ineligible team is ed for the division championship, then the team it
ed with shall be the Big Ten Championship Game representave.b) If two or more teams are ed with an ineligible team for the division championship, then the ineligible team is removed and the remaining teams
revert to the e-break procedure.c) The division runner-up shall be the Big Ten Championship Game representave.
d) If there is a division runner-upe, then the ed teams shall revert to the e-break procedure.
If the championship game cannot be played (due to any reason beyond the controlof the Big Ten Conference), the two division champions (using divisional e-breakersas set forth above) shall be declared co-champions and the following procedure willbe used to determine the Big Ten Conference representave to the College FootballPlayoff :
a) Teams ranked No. 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the final College Football Playoff poll willautomacally be placed in the College Football Playoff .
b) If the two divisional representaves met previously in the season and neitheris ranked No. 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the final College Football Playoff poll, the teamranked highest in the final poll shall be the representave to the CollegeFootball Playoff , unless the other team is ranked within five or fewer placesof the higher ranked team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the twoteams shall determine the conference’s representave.
c) If the two divisional representaves did not meet previously during the
season, the team ranked highest in the College Football Playoff poll shall bethe representave.d) If the two teams are ed in the College Football Playoff poll, the team with
the best overall Big Ten record shall be the representave.e) If the two teams remain ed aer d), the team with the best combined
record of the ed teams against all common Big Ten opponents each teamplayed that season shall be the representave.
f) If the two teams remain ed aer e), the representave will be the teamwith the best overall winning percentage.
g) If the two teams remain ed aer f), the representave will be the teamfurthest removed from College Football Playoff , Bowl Championships Seriesor Rose Bowl Game parcipaon (as appropriate).
h) If the two teams remain ed aer g), the representave shall be determinedby a random draw.

• Largest and most diverse bowl lineup in Big Ten history, with:
o 12 diff erent bowls and four other College Football Playoff bowls.
o World class cies coast-to-coast featuring Big Ten alumni and fans.
o Great opponents from the ACC, Big 12, Pac-12, SEC, Mountain
West and Conference USA.
• Selecon parameters agreed to by the conference and bowls to ensure
fresh and diverse experiences and desnaons for players and fans.
• Big Ten teams will not go to the same bowls in back-to-back years and
restricons are in place on mulple and/or consecuve appearanceswithin states or regions, with the excepon of the Rose Bowl Game.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF OVERVIEW
• Comprised of Coon, Fiesta, Orange, Peach, Rose and Sugar Bowls.
• Selecon commiee will choose top four teams, then rank and assign to
semifinal sites.
• Selecon commiee will then assign next group of teams to play in
other host bowls.
• Highest-ranked champion from non-contract conference guaranteed a
berth.
• There is no limit on the number of teams from a conference that can
take part in College Football Playoff bowls.
• Orange and Coon Bowls will serve as naonal semifinal hosts in 2015.
• Big Ten and Pac-12 champions will play in Rose Bowl Game, unless one
or both are ranked among top four teams.
o If Big Ten and/or Pac-12 champion appear among top four, RoseBowl Game will choose replacement from partner conferences.
• Big 12 and SEC champions will play in Sugar Bowl, unless one or both
are ranked among top four teams.
o If Big 12 and/or SEC champion appear among top four, Sugar
Bowl will choose replacement from partner conferences.
• Fiesta and Peach Bowls will host displaced conference champions and
non-contract conference representave.
• Highest-ranked available teams will fill any other College Football Playoff

BIG TEN BOWL DETERMINATION PROCEDURE
For all non-College Football Playoff partners, bowl partner will request a Big Ten
team, subject to conference approval based on selecon parameters.
ROSE BOWL GAME PRESENTED BY NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL (Pasadena, Calif.)
1. When not hosng a semifinal, Big Ten Champion will play in Rose BowlGame, unless among top four teams.
2. If Big Ten Champion qualifies for playoff , Rose Bowl Game will choose a
replacement Big Ten team.
3. Rose Bowl Game has sole discreon on replacement team, and will
generally select highest-rated available team, but will take into
consideraon final College Football Playoff rankings, head-to-head
compeon, division champions and most recent Rose Bowl Game

2. Big Ten will play in three Music City and three TaxSlayer Bowls over
