PARKSExplore the Great Outdoors

Pick up a Coquitlam Trail Map and Guide today!Fall is the best time to explore Coquitlam’s extensive

trail system. With over 90 kilometers including a portion of the Trans Canada Trail spanning from coast to coast,

trail hiking is one of the most requested recreation activities. Our trails can be enjoyed by everyone whether it’s for fitness, pleasure or viewing wildlife and nature

opportunities. Coquitlam’s new pocket trail map is a convenient guide providing information on the location of trails, entry points, trail surfaces, and wheelchair accessibility. Pick up your copy at a Coquitlam recreation facility.

Winter Walking in Coquitlam ParksWith an extensive network of walking paths, trails and tracks, Coquitlam parks offer a variety of ways to enjoy walking during the winter. To enjoy Coquitlam’s natural environments go for a morning stroll and see spawning salmon in Coquitlam River Park. Followed by an afternoon walk through the tranquil and serene trails of Mundy Park’s temperate forest.

Climb the 437 stairs to the top of Westwood Plateau’s Coquitlam Crunch Trail. You’ll experience an 800 foot elevation gain while enjoying the peaceful, natural setting, and views of the city on this challenging uphill climb.

Energize yourself with an invigorating power walk at Percy Perry Stadium in the evening. The state of the art Mondo surface and the lit track provides year round walking opportunities for all ages.

For more information on the other outdoor recreation and sports facilities, visit the coquitlam.ca/parkfinder.

Park SparkBring Coquitlam Parks Alive!

Park Spark is a new kind of volunteer program. It’s your chance to have fun and gain meaningful experiences while participating in activities in Coquitlam’s parks. The Park Spark Program will connect with community members, schools, organizations and businesses looking for opportunities to enhance Coquitlam’s parks. The focus of the program is on participation and connection within shared public spaces. Existing park volunteer opportunities, such as the Adopt-a-Trail Program, will continue but we will be offering new opportunities and looking to the community to generate new project ideas.

If you are interested in becoming a Park Spark Volunteer, or have a project idea, let us know! Contact [email protected] or visit coquitlam.ca/parkspark.
