Dear Students,

transformation can be brought about best through the spread of education. During

the last 50 years, we have established more than 160 educational units of various

kinds right from Pre-Primary School to a fully fledged University, in different parts of

India and even in the capital city of New Delhi.

Our objective is “To make quality education accessible to the students coming from

different regions and different strata of the Society and to provide the same to them

as per their individual choices and inclination at affordable prices.”

Our constant endeavour is to create an atmosphere in the campuses conducive for learning by providing continuously updated

courses and with the help of enriched infrastructural facilities such as well equipped laboratories, rich libraries and well

maintained playground and hostels. It is a gratifying experience for me to know that thousands of students who have passed

out from the portals of our institutions have established themselves very well in different walks of life.

All our campuses are well equipped with green environs and considered among the best in the country. We provide all

necessary amenities and facilities to our students on our campuses.

Our primary goal is to help students develop an artistic eye, which is why we place a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of art and design. Our goal is to teach you to transform images into narratives and in the process, create a signature style that becomes integral to your photographer’s identity. Students graduate with a robust portfolio that gives them an edge in a competitive market.

Life is lived hands-on, which is why we believe in imbibing the same approach to our teaching. While classroom learning helps build a foundation, practising that knowledge helps you transform it into skill. Our intensive hands-on approach means that students undergo assignments with the same preparedness and pressures as a real-world shoot, often with creative directors, visualisers and other professionals that helps them to learn for when they graduate.

We have ensured unmatched infrastructure to give you unmatched tools. From multiple studio floors to multiple companies supplying cameras and lenses; from the best lighting to the newest rigging systems; we have all the tools to teach you the trade.

Being in Pune affords us several advantages in terms of resources and opportunities. The art of storytelling is innate to humankind and inside us lay artists waiting to tell their tales. While most stories might be told with a black or white perspective, life teaches us to appreciate the shades of grey that add colour to our tales. Inspired by dark and light and the greys in between, Albus Atrum was founded to allow the artists inside our students give voice to the art they have pursued over two years at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s School of Photography and New Media. Albus Atrum, however, is not just a showcase of the best work of our graduating class of the year. It is also the embodiment of the pursuit of excellence that drives every one of us at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s School of Photography and New Media. An image that we feel best captures the spirit of Albus Atrum is chosen for the cover of the book as well as for the invitation and any advertising and communication for the event. This offers students an unparalleled opportunity to be published before they graduated. But most of all, Albus Atrum is a celebration of the coming of age of our newest batch of students and proof that yet another crop from our school is getting ready to put their stamp on the world.
