H2O YOUTH PROGRAM

The start of 2016 was great with H2O Youth

Hunts. Uniquely one of these hunts was an all

girls hunt with all three girls named Bailey. They

were first time hunters and were taught gun

safety, parts of the gun, and shooting techniques

before qualifying on the range at a 100 yard

target. All Trinity Oaks sponsored youth hunters

must take part in the safety course and qualify

on the range before they are allowed to hunt an

animal. The weekend was full of new

friendships, giggles, braids, and pink stuff!

Another hunt was an all boys evening hunt (also

their first time hunting) resulting in the harvest of two whitetail does.

Trinity Oaks believes with education and proper initiation of youth we must teach the cultural and aesthetic pleasures necessary to cement the next generation of hunting and fishing.

These 10 kids had an amazing time. They started off with a hunters education class, gun safety and

range time. They hunted for whitetail doe and spikes as part of the ranch management program.

Yesterday afternoon, before the evening hunt, we planted cypress trees in memory of and to honor

Lt. Paul Silber. Thank you to our supporters, sponsors and donors that make all this possible.

Working together we are making a difference. Some of the meat from the youth hunts will be

processed at the Trinity Oaks processing plant . The meat, which is free to recipients, will be

distributed to various orphanages, missions and to the needy.

PROCESSING PLANT NEWS

Almost 750 pounds of venison hamburger was delivered to the Midland soup kitchen Ministry. The meat is from animals harvested at our youth, veteran and Dream trips. It was processed and packaged by volunteers.

World Church in Reynosa, Mexico

Last summer Trinity Oaks in partnership with

Pablo Aquilo of Pointer Wingshooting, Joe

Hosmer, Britt Hosmer and Tom & Nona Snyder

purchased boxes of school supplies for the

underprivileged children at a small rural school

in Argentina. Today we were blessed to receive

these wonderful works of art as a thank you!

Giving back to make a difference in the lives of

others!

We wrapped up another Great Hero Celebration! Based on the pictures it looks like

our guys had an amazing time. Thank you to everyone that helped us make a

difference! Working together we are impacting a lot more lives! We can never do

enough to thank our wounded Heroes for their service and sacrifice!

UPCOMING EVENTS Benefiting our Veterans Program

IN MEMORY OF

Hayden Smallwood

Hayden’s dream was to hunt a whitetail

buck! In January 2016 Trinity Oaks, with

the help of sponsors and donors, was able

to make this dream come true. This trip

was a huge boost to the family’s morale

and their hearts. In Hayden’s words, “I

was able to forget about the hospitals and

needles… I just want to live normally this

weekend”. 4 years ago Hayden was

diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. In March

of 2016 he was called to be with the Lord.

He was an exceptional young man, wise

beyond his years!

DREAM TRIPS

His Dream was to shoot a big buck and

be able to wake up in the morning

looking up at the big whitetail rack

hanging above his bed. Thanks to The

Ruple Family and our generous

supporters, Trinity Oaks was able to

make this dream a reality!

DREAM TRIPS

Hayden’s determination was strong

and his attitude was positive and

encouraging. He hoped his story could

inspire others battling cancer.

Hayden was also featured in the Texas

Trophy Hunters Magazine (May/June

edition).

YOUTH: Mentored and made a difference in over 400 children through our hunting and fishing programs. VETERANS: Hero Celebrations hosted 225 live combat and disabled veterans of all generations, branches of the military, and from past and present conflicts. DREAM TRIPS: We hosted 9 Dream Trips ranging from a south Texas trophy whitetail deer hunt to an Alaskan moose hunt. These unique trips are based on the final wishes of the terminally ill participant. This venison goes to faith-based soup kitchens and orphanages throughout Texas and other areas. INCREASED CAPACITY: Since Trinity Oaks’ inception in 2007, every single program has increased in capacity by more than +10% annually thanks to your donations and support.
