Dear Alumni, Donors and Friends,

The Eastern Oregon University Foundation is confidently moving into its 54th year supporting our institution with the critical financial resources necessary to offer an incredible education for so many deserving students.

We are very proud of our efforts and your support in 2016 — one of our most successful years ever!

This past year, the Foundation exceeded our expectations and awarded $510,000 in private scholarships to students. Your financial support, stewarded by Trustees and our team in University Advancement, made this incredible milestone possible. As the culture of philanthropy grows, we reach new heights and impact more lives through the power of giving.

Each year, the Foundation provides over $850,000 in total financial support for students, faculty, programs, and departments — all from private sources and donors like you. These funds support projects such as EOU’s literary publication Basalt, the annual PowWow, grants, student research and presentations at national conferences, capital investments throughout campus and many other programs.

We are seeing increased engagement from alumni, friends of EOU, faculty, and staff in all areas. Our assets now total more than $14 million, double what they were less than a decade ago when we launched the first phase of the Campaign for Eastern. Our work continues as we look toward a new and expanded campaign to grow fundraising efforts and, in turn, grow EOU.

We are very enthusiastic about the future of Eastern Oregon University and the vital role it plays in our community, region, and state. The Foundation Board and Trustees seek to expand our reach to engage alumni and connect with new donors and friends from diverse geographic and personal backgrounds. This effort is critical to our continued growth in both financial investment and leadership. I encourage you to contact University Advancement if you would like more information and want to get involved!

EOU Foundation 2016 Financial ReportThe Eastern Oregon University Foundation is growing and working every day to provide support to students and increase engagement with alumni and friends. We are offering over $600,000 in scholarships for 2017-18!
