We know everyone is excited for summer break, however, please remember to review your music periodically and that music evaluations will be necessary to insure that everyone is prepared in the fall. It is extremely important that all songs from last season are completely memorized before our first rehearsal as we will be replacing the 6 retired songs with new repertoire and learning our 8 standard Christmas pieces for the upcoming concert season. Members who do not pass all of their songs are required to schedule weekly appointments for additional assistance until they are completed. Appointments may be scheduled: June 25 – August 12, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM. All members must schedule an appointment by calling 817-924-3640 or emailing [email protected]. Please choose your preferred date and time before contacting us and we will confirm if it is available. Senior Choir music evaluations take a minimum of one hour. Preparatory and Junior Choir music evaluations take about 20 minutes. Senior Choir members that have made ZERO mistakes in every song for two consecutive years will be exempt from all future music evaluations. Congratulations to Deborah Buffington and Jessica Smith who have fulfilled this achievement! Members eligible for a final evaluation this year are Samuel Aparicio, Hannah Debenport, Jenica Moore, and Valerie Weber. Preparatory and Junior Choir Members; Please prepare well for your music evaluations. Your evaluation will be considered in our decision for Senior Choir promotions in January. Attached is a copy of our calendar through May 2017. It is also available online. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory! Please review the calendar and arrange your schedules so that we have everyone at every rehearsal and performance. If there are any conflicts with ANY of the scheduled dates, call the office immediately at 817-924-3640 so we can resolve the issue.
