Welcome Friends and Honored Guests,
Our Annual Meeting is an excellent time to review our changes,
challenges and accomplishments. We review our position in
time and set our course based upon our current conditions.
We welcome to their first Annual Meeting, Randy Chapman,
our CEO and Sharon Asher-Hall, our CFO. We celebrate
their arrival to the CDS Management Team and look forward
to their continued success with our organization.
We celebrated another successful Great Chef's Tasting event
and our Second Racing For A Cause event, both managed by our
Development Coordinator, Gina Wysocki.
We were blessed with outstanding assistance from Kozol Brothers, Chef Fred Ferrara,
Will/Grundy Sportsmen for Charity, Jim and Debbie Keck, and the WillPower
Endowment Fund, along with many others.
Sadly, we mourned the loss this year of Mardel Rock and Warren Harmon, two individuals
who had volunteered for so many years and were integral parts of the Friends of CDS, an
organization that raised funds for our programs.
As our Board and Management Team move forward into our new year, we thank each and
every one of you for your continued support.

A Brief Message from the (relatively) new CEO:
Hello, Friends:
The date of the 2017 Annual Meeting for the Center
for Disability Services -- October 3 -- marks exactly
my six-month anniversary as President and CEO. For
an organization that has provided essential services to
the developmentally challenged for more than 60 years, my time thus far has been a
mere spark in a flame of passion and dedication.
My life-long career until now has been in the for-profit publishing world. In these past
months, the learning curve for me has been quite steep yet very gratifying. I have
learned how to apply what I know from the business side – leadership and management,
fiscal oversight, and friend-and-fund development -- to render CDS better known and
more efficient in order to sustain our good work for a long time to come.
I could not and cannot succeed without the support of so many connected to CDS: the
hard-working staff and leadership team that perseveres no matter the challenge, the
board and its leadership for its wisdom and guidance, our business partners, our gener-
ous donors, and a corps of volunteers who enable us every day to advance the independ-
ence of person with disabilities. I sincerely thank you all!
Please join me shaping a secure future for CDS where we all can take pride in creating
the greatest positive impact on what matters most to those we serve, now and forever.
