ALA.

The 2014 Alumnus returned to Namibia in 2016, and joined TBA in 2017 as the Head of the Entrepreneurial Leadership program. Its Gabriella’s role to shape our young leaders to poses skills such as emotional intelli-gence, pro activeness and so much more.

Gabriella, whose a former learner of Delta High and an ALA Alumnus, is excited of an opportu-nity to become part of the TBA family and cannot wait to share her experience.

African Leadership Academy is the leading pan-African educational institution in the world and now she gets to share her experiences with a young group of Namibians at TBA.

What happened where?

Baton bearer Helalia Johannes and Rio 2016 -Olympic long distance runner led the wayat UNICEF involving over 150 adults and youngpeople. The relay inspired a day of sporting activity.

150 young people from NFA Girls and TBAdescended on the road for mass participation relay.The Baton was proudly carried by by Kiki Ghebo-The United Nations resident coordinator.

At the National Parliament we welcomed by NamibianPara olyimpian Gideon Nasilowski Amphibian whocarried the baton all the way to the doors of parliament where we received by the Minister of Sports, Deputy Minister and Speaker of National Parliament.

The Baton ended with a Gala dinner to raise funds for the 12 Namibian athletes represent-ing the nation at the 2018 Common wealth games ..................................................................................................

QUEENS BATONRELAYCommonwealth Games Queen’s Baton RelayThe Queen’s Baton Relay is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Com-monwealth Games. It visits all 70 competing nations and territories representing almost a third of the world’s population. The Baton car-ries a message from the Queen to the Commonwealth that she reads out at the Opening Ceremony of the Games and symbolises the coming together of all Commonwealth nations and territories in preparation for the four-yearly festival of sport and culture.

This year during the African Day Celebration TBA took Part in Exhabition match with BAS at the Katutura Youth Complex. The Games where organized by the Namibian Basketball federation . The games were witnesed by the Minister of Sports youth and National services Hon: Jerry Ekandjo the event was also graced by wheelchair basketball.

AFRICAN DAYCELEBRATION

Every Holiday season TBA, hosts its annual Christmas fundraising campaign. This event is aimed at engaging the public via Basketball activities and putting a smile on the community as we educate them on the Basketball game, TBA also has charity box at this event which we collect goodies for a charity of our choice.

TBA Family believes in the spirit of giving back and touching each soul during the Holiday season, spending time with the elderly and children.

Technical Basketball Academy had an operating surplus in FY 2016 as we continued our ambitious TBA Tods program roll out

Over the past two years, we have committed over N$ 60 Thousand to the expansion of our programs , and projects we have consistently delivered on time and within budget. These investments improve the underlying economics of our programs and expand our mission impact, with

45% more leaders for Africa developed each year. We are grateful to the generosity of supporters from around the world in making the work of the Academy possible.
