Meet the GABR StarTo his family, 2-year-old Colton is a superhero.

He was born with underdeveloped lungs and a missing artery in his heart, making it impossible to breathe on his own. At 3 days old, Colton underwent the first of three open heart surgeries.

His parents, Aubrey and Rick, can’t describe the gift of having specialized pediatric care so close to home. Not only did Sanford Children’s help save their son, but Children’s Miracle Network assisted with travel and lodging costs, allowing them to stay at Colton’s side through his journey.

Today, Colton is a spunky and loving toddler. He steals hearts with his smile and Superman-worthy bravery.
