FORCE NEWSFORCE DEFEAT WATERLOO, WIN WESTERN CONFERENCEDespite finishing third in the regular season and having to play an extra round tostart the playoffs, the Force were able to emerge victorious from the WesternConference for the fourth time in franchise history after a 3-1 series win over theWaterloo Black Hawks last week. The Force won three straight after losing theseries opener in Waterloo to clinch the conference title. The Force defeated Tri-City,Omaha, and Waterloo on their path to the Clark Cup Final.

SCHULDT GETS SERIES WINNER, HIS FIRST GOAL OF THE POSTSEASONIn the third period of Saturday night's game against Waterloo, defenseman JohnSchuldt rifled a one-timer from the point that handcuffed Black Hawk goalie MatejTomek and found the back of the net. The goal, Schuldt's first of the Clark CupPlayoffs, was the game and series winner. After the game, Schuldt said," “I don’tthink I’m going to get many of them, but I’ll remember that one for the rest of mylife.”

FARGO ADVANCES TO CLARK CUP FINALWith the win in the Western Conference Final over Waterloo, the Force advance tothe Clark Cup Final for the fourth time in franchise history. Fargo previously playedfor the Clark Cup in 2008, 2009, and 2013. The Force lost all three of those series.Fargo will face the Eastern Conference champions, the Youngstown Phantoms, inthe Clark Cup Final. Youngstown is making its first appearance in the Clark CupFinal after defeating Team USA in the Eastern Conference Final.
