2018 HSC Results 13 th #1 Wenona ranked 13 th school in the State according to the 2018 HSC Schools Ranking 1st in State for Earth and Environmental Science Dear Wenona Community, Congratulations to the Class of 2018 on their outstanding academic results in the Higher School Certificate (HSC). Wenona was ranked 13th in the 2018 HSC Schools Ranking*, with a median of 92.65. Over 60% of our students attained an ATAR greater than 90, and 38% of our students attained an ATAR greater than 95. We had an outstanding number of students nominated to HSC Exemplar showcases for both the creative and performing arts; a testament to their talent, passion and hard work. These are outstanding results, our highest since the ‘new’ HSC was introduced in 2001, and the second time in three years that Wenona has ranked in the top 15. Further cause for celebration at Wenona is the number of offers, including scholarships to study degree courses in a wide range of subjects at university and colleges across the country, and overseas. Our students have achieved these wonderful results, whilst also pursuing a wide range of interests beyond the classroom – performing arts, debating, sport, outdoor adventures, voluntary work and local community involvement – and have done so with great enjoyment and success. They have embraced Wenona’s ethos of service and have actively engaged in a Renaissance education, by demonstrating a genuine passion for learning, and a real commitment to their studies, supported by a superb team of teachers. Thank you to the parents and families who have played a huge role in this success. There are a great many pressures to bear on family and individuals at this time of life, but you have shown overwhelming grace and support to the girls and to the school. The girls’ HSC achievements are but one piece of a jigsaw. Of greater importance is the character and the wisdom they have formed, over the course of their education to date, and will continue to develop, as they take on the grand adventures of life! Environmental Science

Dear Wenona Community,

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 on their outstanding academic results in the Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Thank you.
