WITH THE INSTALLATION!

Appropriate disassembly, assembly methods and procedures are essential to ensure the personal safety of the individual performing the kit installation. Improper installation due to the failure to correctly follow these instructions could cause personal injury or death. Read each step of the installation manual carefully before starting the installation.

• Always wear safety glasses for eye protection.

• Place ignition switch in the OFF position.

• Always apply the parking brake when working on a vehicle.

• Block the front and rear tire surface to prevent unexpected vehicle movement.

• If working with a lift, always consult vehicle manual for correct lifting specifi cations.

• Operate the engine only in well-ventilated areas to avoid exposure to carbon monoxide.

• Do not smoke or use fl ammable items near or around the fuel system.

• Use chemicals and cleaners in well-ventilated areas.

• Batteries produce explosive gases, which can cause personal injury. Therefore, do not allow fl ames, sparks or fl ammable substances to come near the battery.

• Keeps hands and any other objects away from the radiator fan blades.

• Keep yourself and your clothing away from moving parts when the engine is running.

• Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that can get caught in rotating parts or scratch surface fi nishes.

• Allow the engine, cooling system, brakes and exhaust to cool before working on a vehicle.

WORK SAFELY!Perform this installation on a good clean level surface for maximum safety and with the engine turned off.

4. Remove the two (2) 8 mm screws from the stone defl ector (non-performance package) located on the undertray just in front of each tire. Note stone defl ector is not shown but fastener locations are indicated. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

2018+ FRONT FASCIA REMOVALThe following section will guide you through the installation of the ROUSH Corner Pockets (P/N: 1318-17B972/1318-17B971).

1. Suspend the front of the vehicle on jack stands and remove the front wheels.

2. Remove the two (2) push pins from the fender liner on both sides of the vehicle using a trim removal tool or a pry tool as shown. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

3. Remove the fi ve (5) push pins and remove the fender liner as shown. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

5. Remove the seventeen (17) (nineteen [19] for performance package) 8 mm screws from the undertray. Remove the two (2) push pins and remove undertray from the vehicle.

6. Disconnect the fog lamp connector. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

7. Remove the two (2) nuts and one (1) push pin holding the fascia to the fender. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

8. Open the hood and remove the eight (8) push pins holding the radiator shroud.

9. Remove the two (2) 7 mm screws and six (6) 8 mm screws from the upper lip of the fascia. Lift the fascia off the alignment pins and forward off the vehicle (this step may require assistance from another person).

10. Remove the three (3) 7 mm screws from the back of the fascia holding the fog lights. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.

ROUSH PERFORMANCE CORNER POCKET INSTALLATION1. Cut out the drill templates (PN:

1318-17B72TMPL2LH for left-hand side or 1318-17B72TMPL2RH for right-hand side) for black plastic inserts from the last pages of this instruction manual.

IMPORTANT: Print templates to scale. Check scale by measuring reference line with a ruler. Tape templates in place as shown and mark with a center punch. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

2. Mark the hole center with a punch and drill a 1/8" pilot hole. Drill a 1/4" hole. (NOTE: The center of the hole lines up well with the center of the honey comb.) Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

3. Cut out the drill template (PN: 1318-17B72TMPL1LH for left-hand side or 1318-17B72TMPL1RH for right-hand side) from the last pages of this instruction manual for corner pocket slots.

IMPORTANT: Print templates to scale. Check scale by measuring reference line with a ruler. Tape the templates in place as shown. (Note slide the template between the plastic insert and the painted fascia until it stops.) Mark the fi fteen (15) drill holes with a center punch. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

4. Drill fi fteen (15) 1/8" holes to start the slots. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

5. Mill out the remaining material in the fi rst, second, and third slots with a dremel or cylindrical fi le. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

6. Cut out the drill template (PN:1318-17B72TMPL3LH for left-hand side or 1318-17B72TMPL3RH for right-hand side) from the last pages of this instruction manual for corner pocket location hole.

IMPORTANT: Print templates to scale. Check scale by measuring reference line with ruler. Tape the templates in place as shown on the INSIDE of the front fascia. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

7. Mark the drill hole with a center punch and drill fi rst with an 1/8" pilot hole followed by a 3/8" hole. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

8. Wipe the back side of each corner pocket with isopropyl alcohol and apply a strip of double-sided tape (PN: TAPE-5390-25x204) on the bottom of the corner pocket (P/N: 1318-17B972 and 1318-17B971) up against the bottom lip (about 5 mm inboard of the edge). Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

9. Fasten bracket (PN: 1318-17C974 for right-hand side or 1318-17C973 for left-hand side) to the three (3) plastic studs using three (3) of the supplied M4.2 screws (PN: 12741) and a 7 mm socket. Torque to 2 Nm. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

10. Clean fascia surface with soapy water on the areas shown. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

11. Rewet the surface with soapy water and apply graphic (PN: 1318-17B671RH or 1318-17B671LH) to wet area. Use a fl exible plastic squeegee to apply graphic and work all bubbles to outer perimeter. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

12. Wipe down the surface with isopropyl alcohol. Align the front locator with the forward hole in the fascia and three (3) vertical taps on corner pockets with three (3) slots on the side of the fascia. Repeat on the other side of the fascia. Make sure the fl ag on the tape is accessible for removal.

13. Hand start the M5 bolt (PN: 9809A316) to the back of the bracket. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

14. Reach under the corner pocket and peel back the double-sided tape red backing. Compress the corner pocket lower edge fi rmly against the fascia to adhere tape. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

15. Torque the M5 bolt to 5 Nm. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

16. Apply one (1) 45° angled washer (1318-12896) onto the corner pocket post as shown. Tighten one (1) nut (PN: W704521). Press the front surface of the corner pocket to the fascia and tighten the nut until snug. Repeat on the other side of the fascia.

17. Reinstall the front fascia following the Removal steps 1 through 10 in reverse order.

Congratulations! You have now completed the installation of the ROUSH corner pockets.
