Help FBC Meet Its Budget

We appreciate your faithful giving to FBC and its ministries.

God is doing many good things at our church. Pray for the economy in America.

We need $24,340.00 each week to meet our budget.

Worship Service Tech Workers Needed

Due to moves and health issues we are losing three of our Worship Service Tech Workers in the next month. We are in serious need of new Tech Workers to run our Sound, Lighting, Media and Camera Stations for all three morning services, as well as our evening service. If you have a desire to serve our Lord Jesus in these areas, we need you greatly. Our worship services cannot happen without dedicated volunteers to serve these vital tech positions. We will train you on whichever tech station you would like to serve. Please contact Pastor Roger Ball at 602-402-5309 or email him at [email protected] or Julie Huver at [email protected].

Faith Promise Update

Our weekly giving need for Faith Promise is $1,022.00.

Our need since January 1 is $41,902.00

Thank you for being faithful to God’s Word through Faith Promise Giving! Faith Promise is money you give to help our missionaries.

If we do not receive $4,426.00 each month, all of our Faith Promise missionaries like Mark Burritt,

Steve and Darlene Evers, Bob and Elena Gonzalez and Steve and Patty Robenalt will not receive

their “full” monthly support from us. Your faithfulness helps our missionaries spread the love of Jesus around the world!

Would you consider giving to Faith Promise to help us meet our financial commitment to our missionaries. Make your checks payable to FBC earmarked “Faith Promise.

Walk to Bethlehem

It is time once again to lift Jesus REALLY HIGH as we set-up for Walk to Bethlehem on Monday and Tuesday, October 28-29, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Pastor Roger and Dianna’s Home.

Patience

God is often more patient with us than we are with ourselves. We assume that if we fall, we are not born again. If we stumble, then we are not truly converted. If we have

the old desires, then we must not be a new creation.

If you are anxious about this, please remember, “God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.” (Philippians 1:6)

Science Seminar

Date and Time – Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 pm Theme – Live Lessons from the Bible and Biology

Combining God’s living Word with God’s living creation, this presentation will begin with several live animals,

focusing on both their incredible design and the lessons they teach us about God and His Word. These themes look at how a Madagascar Hissing cockroach can teach us about bearing a burden, based on real life technology being used by scientists. About an African Bullfrog, that lies dormant for ten months, only to come to life once again and teach us what it means to be devoted. Can a lizard have no legs and still teach us about change? Or a Hornbill bird exhort us to watch over others? And what can watching a tarantula shed teach us about salvation? After these animals and the themes that accompany them are answered, this wildly interactive presentation ends with a summary of how important it is to see how God’s creation and Genesis, ultimately points us to our Creator Jesus, His gospel and the rest of Scripture.

“Dealing With Critical People”

October 20, 2019 Al Fadi

Imagine that you have just discovered the most exciting thing in the whole world and you decide to share it with your friend. Your friend listens intently then begins to critically analyze the news you have just shared with him/her, in a negative way? Did this ever happen to you? Does it sound familiar? This is the typical behavior of “critical people”! No matter what you say, they always find some way to derail the mood of the conversation. Rather than giving you praise, they tend to only criticize. How can we deal with such people whom we are bound to run into? John 1:43 - The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” John 1:44 - Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. John 1:45 - Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. John 1:46 - Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” 1. Do not _______ _______ _______________

John 1:46 - Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?’

2. Try to _______________ ________ _______________ John 1:46 - Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
