MESSAGE FROM BOWLS NSW & WOMENS BOWLS NSW On behalf of Bowls NSW & Women’s Bowls NSW, welcome to The Greens The Entrance for the annual Interstate Test Series between NSW and Victoria.

Our two States have a long and proud history in our sport and the Interstate Test Series brings out not only a fierce competitive edge but also a great friendly rivalry and sportsmanship. These combine to present the best our sport has to offer, and this year should be no different.

We thank the Board, Staff and Members of The Greens The Entrance for their wonderful efforts in hosting this prestigious series.

We wish the players involved from both States all the best. We trust that you have a wonderful experience, that you perform at your peak on the green and enjoy your time during the series, returning home having made new friendships and renewed old ones.

SCHEDULE OF PLAY 23 January: Arrive & Practice Sessions 24 January: 9AM - First Test 24 January: 1PM - Second Test 25 January: 8AM Third Test

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

General: All matches shall be played in line with the Laws of the Sport of Bowls (Crystal Mark 3rd Edition January 2015) and the Domestic Regulations for Australia.Policies of Bowls Australia shall also apply.The Controlling Body shall be the Host State.The Controlling Body reserves the right to alter the Conditions of Play if deemed necessary.Sides: Each State participating will select sides from their affiliated members. Male and female competitions to be conducted as separate events. Open and Under 25 competitions to be conducted as separate events.Under 25 Players Eligibility: Players shall be under the age of 25 years as at the scheduled date of completion of the series.Substitutes: If a substitute is needed during the course of a match the substitute shall be chosen from the reserves of that side or, if no reserves, the team officials from each state will have to agree on a suitable substitute. Trial Ends: One trial end in each direction will be permitted immediately prior to the commencement of play and prior to the start of subsequent matches.

Inclement Weather: Play will cease when the local temperature reaches 38oC and will be resumed at a later time in consultation with team, technical and club officials. In the event of inclement weather; Open: 51 ends will constitute an Open Sides game Under 25: More than 80% of ends completed will constitute a game.Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on the Green.Open Sides: Each side shall comprise three (3) teams each of four (4) players. Each Team shall play 21 ends (63 ends total). Highest aggregate shots shall win each TestUnder 25 Sides: Each side shall comprise six (6) players. Test 1: 2 x two bowl Triples (25 ends) - Master Board Test 2: 3 x three bowl Pairs (21 ends) - best of 3 rubbers. Test 3: 2 x Singles (25 up), 1 x Fours (21 ends) - best of 3 rubbers.Scoring: In each Test, the side scoring the highest aggregate number of shots shall be declared the winner. If both sides score the same number of aggregate shots the test shall be tied.The side with the highest number of Test wins shall be declared the Series winner. If the number of Tests won is equal the trophy shall be retained by the State having last won a series.
