It is our pleasure to invite all Federations to the 2019 IWWF World Under 21
Waterski Championships to be held at Shalom Park Water Ski Site in Edmonton,
Canada, from July 4-7, 2019. We are greatly looking forward to seeing you here and
receiving your intention to participate as soon as possible.
1.1 Host Federation
The Host Federation is Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC), which the
Canadian national sports organization responsible for coordinating, growing and
developing towed water sports from initiation to high performance through proactive
advocacy, strengthened partnerships, effective communications and coordinated
leadership.

1.4 The Event Venue
Shalom Park Water Ski Site is a man-made water ski lake located in Edmonton,
Alberta, Canada. Shalom Park was built in 1985 and has been host to a multitude of
events, including the Canadian Open Elite Event, the 1996 IWWF World Junior
Waterski Championships, the Canadian Nationals Championships and a multitude of
other events. Shalom Park is located 20 minutes away from the Edmonton
International Airport (YEG).

Shalom Park Water Ski Site is located just north of Edmonton International Airport,
and a short drive from many Edmonton area attractions, including West Edmonton
Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes in North America.

The Official Hotel provides free transportation between the airport and the hotel for

1.10 Tourist Information
There are many options for tourist activities in Edmonton and greater Alberta. Visit
Travel Alberta and Explore Edmonton for options and help in planning your trip.
1.11 Visa Entry Requirements
Canada has one of the most advanced customs processes in the world to provide
visitors with security and ease of travel. Visitors must have valid travel documents

to enter Canada to provide proof of their citizenship. Document requirements vary
depending on from which country you are travelling from. Please check with your
travel agent or your local Canadian Consulate if you need a Visa. If you do, please,
contact the [email protected] for an official invitation from Water Ski
Wakeboard Canada.
Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as Electronic Travel
Authorization (eTA), for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air.
Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa. Entry requirements
for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed. Starting August 1, 2015,
eligible travelers can apply online for an eTA. On March 15, 2016, this entry
requirement will become mandatory and travelers will need an eTA before they can
board a flight to Canada.
1.12 Official Functions The Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Final Night Banquet are offered free
of charge to Athletes, Team Officials, Technical Officials, IWWF Discipline Council
Members and IWWF Executive Board Members.
The Final Night Banquet and Closing Ceremonies will be held at the Holiday Inn &
Suites Edmonton International Airport (1102 4 Street, Nisku, AB), located 1.1km
north of the host hotel. A limited number of banquet tickets are available for
purchase by family members and companions. The cost is US$60 each and the
deadline to purchase will be June 13, 2019. To purchase banquet tickets, email

1.13 Intentions to Enter and Entries
In accordance with IWWF Rule 2.05 Federations wishing to send a team to compete
at the 2019 IWWF World Under 21 Waterski Championships should complete and
return the “Intention to Enter” as soon as possible.
The Intention to Enter MUST be submitted exclusively through the online Admin
System: www.iwsftournament.com/WorldAdmin/ using the password which was
provided to your Federation. If you forgot your password, contact [email protected]
for assistance.
The deadline for submitting the Intention to Enter is May 5, 2019. For late
submission of the Intention to Enter form a penalty of US$200.00 will be applied in
accordance with IWWF Rule 2.05. To be accepted, the “Intention to Enter” must be
accompanied by a deposit amounting to US$50.00 for each athlete mentioned on the
Intention. (For instance : 3 athletes :3xUS$50.00 = US$150.00). This amount must be
paid to the organisers and is non-refundable. This US$50.00 will be deducted from
the entry fee to be paid for each athlete.
The Federation may enter up to two additional athletes more than originally
declared on the “Intention to Enter” . If more than two additional athletes
participate, then a fee of US$50.00 per additional athlete will be levied upon that
Federation. Federations are responsible for all bank charges.
The final deadline for submitting Intention to Enter is June 4, 2019.

1.14 Entry Fees
The Entry Fee for the 2019 IWWF World Under 21 Waterski Championships is
US$330.00 per competitor regardless of disciplines entered by each competitor. This
Entry Fee includes a levy of US$30.00 to assist towards the travel costs of the
Official Panel. Remitting parties are responsible for all bank charges on both ends.
Entry fees can be paid by bank transfer or credit via Paypal plus 5%
(https://www.paypal.me/shalompark). The deadline for payment is June 20, 2019.

1.15 Lunches on Site
Lunches on site will be provided free of charge to Athletes, Team Officials,
Technical Officials, relative IWWF Discipline Council Members and IWWF Executive
Board Members. Family members and companions may purchase lunch packages
(4 lunch meal tickets for US$50 (US$12.50 per day)) prior to June 13, 2019. To
purchase a lunch package, email [email protected] with the subject
line “Lunch Package”.
The Host hotel offers a complimentary breakfast each day.
Evening meals and meals for other days will be self-funded and options can be found
near the Site and Hotel.
1.16 Training
Official Familiarization
Official familiarization will be offered at Shalom Park on July 2-3 at a rate of
US$300.00 per hour. In accordance with IWWF Rule 1.12:
● The deadline for requesting official familiarization time (without penalty) is
May 5, 2019 (60 days before the start of the event)
● A familiarization schedule will be published on or before May 20, 2019 (45
days before the start of the event)
● The deadline to pay for familiarization is June 4, 2019 (30 days before the
start of the event)
The cost of familiarization must be paid by bank transfer [see 1.14] or credit card
via Paypal plus 5% (https://www.paypal.me/shalompark). All bank charges are the
responsibility of the paying party. Once payment is made, please send your proof of
payment to [email protected].

Unofficial Practice
Unofficial practice will be available before July 2, 2019 at a cost of US$300.00 per
hour, and with a minimum booking of 15 minutes. Please send your training requests
immediately to: [email protected] and a schedule will be made starting March
15, 2019 based on requests.
1.17 Official Tow Boat
All official practice and tournament events will be pulled behind the 2019 Ski
Nautique PCM H6 (6.2L), equipped with the latest version of Zero Off ver. S.
1.18 Doping Control
In accordance with the IWWF Anti-Doping Rules, Doping controls will be conducted
during the competition. By entering this competition, all athletes agree to be
subject to doping control. Information about the IWWF Anti-Doping program, the
current IWWF AD Rules and links to the list of banned substances can be accessed on

1.21 Massage and Chiropractic
Massage and chiropractic services will be available on site during the competition.
The price of massage will be:
