The Problem with Untreated Glass

The surface of glass is not completely smooth;

under a microscope glass has a rough surface of

peaks and potholes. Water, limescale and mineral

salts can quickly build up in this uneven surface

causing permanent staining and damage.

How Clean & ClearTM Works

Clean & ClearTM nano-molecules chemically fuse

with the surface of glass and acts as a long lasting

protective barrier. The hydrophobic or repellent

properties stop limescale and other residue from

bonding to the glass. It is completely transparent,

non-hazardous and unlike traditional coating

applications, Clean & ClearTM will never discolour,

peel or crack.

Kinder to the Environment

Typically Clean & ClearTM reduces the frequency

of cleaning by half. Just like ’non-stick’ cookware,

the maintenance of Clean & ClearTM protected

glass does not require harsh and abrasive cleaning

chemicals which can be expensive and damaging

to the environment.

Aftercare

Clean & ClearTM glass can be cleaned with any

suitable non-abrasive glass cleaner - with a PH

value of between 3-11; the coating will not be

damaged. Avoid surfactants and heavily

perfumed products. Vinegar and water based

products are very effective. Do not use abrasive

scrubbing cleaners or equipment for cleaning.

With so many different wastes to choose from picking the right one can be daunting. With the aid of our Bath Waste Guide we hope to help you choose the right waste for your bath.

Pipe ShroudsThere are two different types of pipe shroud we provide. Telescopic 7411; these pipe shrouds are used when tap holes are drilled in the bath. Over edge pipe shroud 7412; these pipe shrouds are

used when there are no tap holes in the bath.

Exposed Telescopic Pipe Shroud KitsThe Pipe Shroud Kits (7414 & 7415) are both exposed versions and include an exposed waste, telescopic pipe shrouds and a P trap. The difference between the two is that one kit has a plug and chain waste and the other kit has a pop up. These kits are a complete set, instead of ordering everything separately.

We strongly recommend the use of our wastes with our baths as we cannot guarantee other wastes will fit our baths.

Non ExposedA non exposed waste fits to the bath but cannot be seen. Waste 7401 is a non exposed Plug & Chain waste, 7402 is a non exposed Pop Up waste and 7403 is a non exposed Click Clack waste. These wastes are manufactured in plastic and the only parts seen are the parts which will be fitted to the inside of the bath.

Exposed WastesThese wastes are manufactured with the intention of being seen, these have to be pleasing to the eye and not made out of plastic. Exposed Plug and Chain 7404, exposed Pop Up waste 7405 and exposed Click Clack 7406 are examples of exposed wastes.

Click Clack WastesThis waste is opened or closed by pressing on the waste cover. The Click Clack wastes are available in exposed and non exposed options.

Pop Up WastesThis waste is opened or closed by simply turning the overflow. The Pop Up wastes are available in exposed and non exposed options.

P TrapP traps are fitted to the waste tail underneath the bath. It releases the water out of the bath and down to the outlet pipe, the P shape allows a little water to remain in the bottom of the trap to stop any foul smells venting back up into the bath from the soil pipe. This comes supplied only as an exposed version, in either shallow or ultra shallow format.

Exposed L PipeThis is an exposed outlet pipe which connects to the P trap and goes underneath the floor to connect to a plastic outlet pipe. The pipe is for exposed use and fits with all the other exposed waste pipes.

All glass fully conforms to the relevant EN standards for toughened safety glass. All Aluminium sections are extruded from alloys which comply with the relevant EN standards. Doors and enclosures are tested in accordance with the relevant EN standards and are suitable for use with modern power showers. Products are supplied with full installation instructions and fixings.

GuaranteeApril guarantees cover all manufacturing defects. This guarantee does not cover damage during fitting or misuse. The guarantee applies only to the original purchasers of the product and is not transferable. Shower EnclosuresAll Identiti & Prestige Frameless shower enclosures carry a lifetime guarantee when fitted with an April shower tray. A 10 year guarantee will be given when fitted with any other manufacturer’s tray.

Wetroom panel guarantee applies as above. When panels are installed without a tray, a lifetime guarantee still applies.

Cleaning Instruct ionsIt is important to clean your April shower enclosure after every use. Please wipe down all the glass and metal parts with a clean soft cloth. Ensure that all residual water on the glass is removed after every use. Clean and Clean™ glass can be cleaned with any suitable non-abrasive glass cleaner - with PH value of between 3-11; the coating will not be damaged. Avoid surfactants and heavily perfumed products. Vinegar and water based products are very effective.Do not use abrasive scrubbing cleaners or equipment for cleaning.Install your enclosure in a well ventilated area.

UsageFor reliable, watertight performance from your April enclosure your shower head should not be positioned so that the shower sprays directly onto the enclosure door. Failure to comply with this may cause the shower to leak. Outward opening doors may cause water to drip onto the floor, please ensure that the floor covering immediately outside the enclosures will not be affected by water.
