OUR MISSION

To deepen ecological awareness through nature-based learning among students, educators, and the public; to promote environmental stewardship; and to foster wise use of the Cathance River Nature Preserve.

The Cathance River Education Alliance (CREA) is celebrating its 20th year of connecting people to nature through programs that reach local schools and people of all ages in the community.

A heartfelt thanks to the members and grantors who make so much learning possible at the Ecology Center, Preserve, schools, and Topsham Public Library. Together, we are raising awareness of the wonders of the natural world and the importance of stewarding it carefully.

We are in the midst of an unusual and challenging moment right now. Yet all we need for inspiration is to remember that the natural world needs fans and advocates. We continue to look to the future with hope and resolve.

It encourages curiosity and builds confidence for both the students and myself, encouraging us to continue tackling challenging learning goals!”
