I also contributed heavilyto a new in-house automation code framework(we call it the Freeway), designed to simplify newprojects and provide reusable functionality. Theframework facilitates interaction with various systems (Policy Center, Claims Center, etc.) at American Family.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? I’m very excited by our Enterprise One Platform effort. I’ve already experienced some great collaboration with Main Street America, and I’mexcited for further opportunities to work with TheGeneral and Homesite. There is a lot we can learnfrom each other to increase the effectiveness ofour enterprise as a whole.

What will you be doing on your next vacation?Skiing with friends in Colorado.

Digital claim processing, property claim customer journey mapping and Project Apollo are a few examples. I also rolled out a voice analytics tool, which provides real-time voice of customer metrics and feedback, helping guide them in identifying customer pain points and bright spots, and improving the overall experience.

In addition to serving the branch,I was involved in two projects this year whichrequired time from my normal duties. I was ona team that worked on the Attorney Rep Cleanup Project – a program tasked to review/clean up claim files in a three-month period. I was also part of the File Retention Project, packing and shipping filesto the Retention Center in order to mitigate thelarge expense of securing locally.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? Growth of the company and moreopportunities to serve our customers and meettheir needs.

I do all of thiswhile helping my wife, Janet, deal with cancer. Sheis the real hero.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? Information Technology at American Family and the enterprise is always undergoing change. So it is exciting to see where that changewill lead, and how it will make the customerexperience even better.

I have also documented the improvements and tipsthat I developed so that we can share this knowledge with others who can benefit from it.

With the ability to pool resources as well as learn from each other I feel that we are going to see nothing but improvements and growth. All 4 OneAmFam work: My involvement in the Leadingin Homeowners Wildfire Project, an enterprise-wideinitiative, has led to the development of an in-housewildfire hazard layer and a deeper understanding ofthe peril. This unique perspective will aid in ourunderstanding of the complex nature of wildfire risk.This product will be made available in Atlas/Decision Hub, so users can get a general geographic sense of areas of higher/lower wildfire risk. In the future, the results may support how we determine our capacity for writing the risk, especially in high-risk/wildfire-prone geographies.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? Within the past three years, I've had thepleasure of working under exceptional leadership and alongside high-caliber professionals. The nature of work here at American Family is supportive and provides anoutstanding working environment, the opportunity to be successful and grow professionally. I havehelped MSA from an enterprise perspective byrenegotiating vendor contracts to take advantageof our larger scale and I’ve served an integral roleon the Enterprise One Platform project.

We determinedthat by developing a pipeline of passive candidates, we can decrease the timeframe for filling an open position. After leaving my Ignite accelerator team,I returned to my position as a property field adjuster for the Denver Central Team. I took what I had learned from the Ignite process and applied the concepts to my everyday life, improving my service and my approach to my work.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? I am most excited about thetechnology and innovation that is offered tofield adjusters. I think this will help us remaincompetitive in the market and provide varioustools for adjusters.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? As a veteran employee, I see the new visionof our enterprise to be very dynamic, ready to address new technology and new approaches in the insurance industry. At the same time, we’re diversifying our product line as well as our employee composition. It’s exciting to see AmFam opening up and encouraging open thought and debate. The flipping process was a major bottleneck and slowed work, hampering the ability to bring in other work. Turn Print will savehundreds of thousands of dollars over the years,possibly more, as programmers won’t need to turnall the jobs around one by one. Turn Print was like flipping a switch, all done at once, and quiteseamless. The bottleneck disappeared instantly,and opened capacity for onboarding more work.

The plan includedmultiple pricing enhancements that were later adopted on a company wide basis, and a message to agents that helped them become comfortable with the rate activity. This was all made possible through my extensive workautomating and making processes more efficient. In the past year, I’ve automated dozens of processes to savehundreds of hours. Having this data allows usto gather better information, build more self-service, and route calls more accurately to care centersand corporate employees.

Going through someof the Enterprise One Platform (E1P) discovery has been enlightening, especially seeing how all our companies use technology, and I'm looking forward moving onto one telephony platform.

What excites you about the direction of ourenterprise? We are no longer accepting statusquo as ‘okay.’ We are looking to change things up, and move on from current state into a new state. There are growing pains while moving thingsaround but we are not giving up and continueto strive for something better.
