Cougars C.A.R.E. This week’s shoutout goes to Leo for helping students get caught up with their spelling work. Thanks for being so willing to help! Announcements/Reminders Book Fair: Our Book Fair will take place the week we return from Thanksgiving Break. In 5th grade, we have our nonfiction unit coming up and I am encouraging students to look for nonfiction books with topics that they are interested in researching. Also, we will be having a Book Exchange (Yankee Swap/White Elephant) in our classroom before our Winter Break. I’m encouraging your child to find an interesting book at the Book Fair that they can enjoy before bringing it to participate in our Book Exchange. In addition, teachers have been asked to set up an eWallet for classroom library donations. I plan to use the donated funds to purchase books with diversity and inclusion, classroom sets for shared reading, and nonfiction books for our current unit in Reading and Writing. Parent Conferences: The link to our sign-up for conferences went out on last week. Thank you to all who have already signed up. Please remember that the week of November 15th is 1:30 dismissal to allow more time for conferences. In order to make the best use of our short time together, please complete THIS form by Monday, November 8th. Thank you in advance for your time.
