Conference

This conference is aimed to present and analyze scientific contributions on the main

scientific achievements in chemistry and chemical engineering fields. RICCCE 21 will

provide a space for fruitful discussions, including aspects related to both fundamental

research as well as technological innovations, between scientists as well as companies

involved in research and development.

Constanța, historically known as Tomis is the oldest continuously inhabited city in

Romania which was founded around 600 BC. Tomis was later renamed to Constantiana

in honor of Constantia, the half-sister of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great (274-337).

A number of inscriptions found in the city and its vicinity show that Constanța lies where

Tomis once stood. The city lay at the seaward end of the Great Wall of Trajan and has

evidently been surrounded by fortifications of its own. Mamaia is the biggest and most

famous resort in Romania, located in the north of Constanta, known as the Pearl of the

Romanian Coast.
