PILA - AOSTA FREE RIDE BIKE STADIUM DESARPA BIKE

Il Bike Stadium è composto da 16 piste di Downhill e free ride con diverse varianti di discesa in mountain bike con diversi gradi di difficoltà. Il percorso di Downhill è un’importante sede di gare internazionali. Le piste di free ride e free ride extreme sono tracciate prevalentemente su terreno naturale.

Inizia dall’arrivo della seggiovia del Couis 1 il tracciato della “Desarpa” che permette di scendere a valle sino ad Aosta (15 km circa con un dislivello di 2.100 mt). Dopo il secondo tornante si gira a sinistra verso la stazione di arrivo del Couis 2. Si prosegue lungo il tracciato sino alla stazione di partenza della seggiovia Grimod. A questo punto la pista si immette in un boschetto e raggiunge la zona del Plan Bois, dove finisce lo sterrato. Dopo il piazzale della stazione a valle della seggiovia Leissé e si prosegue sulla pista di Free Ride che porta ad Aosta.

Il percorso Pila - Aosta, unico nel suo genere, è adatto a tutti gli appassionati di free-ride, ha una lunghezza di 8 km su un dislivello di 1.170 metri, che possono aumentare fino a 11 km su un dislivello complessivo di 1.730 metri, sfruttando i tracciati già presenti a monte.

DESARPA BIKE

The route is suitable for all free-ride enthusiasts. It departs from Pila and arrives at Aosta, with a length of 8 km ad a variation in altitude of 1170 metres. These characteristics can be increased up to 11 km and an overall variation in altitude of 1730 meters by using tracks above the route, making it unique of its kind for this reason.

The Bike Stadium has 16 main tracks for downhill and free ride with different degrees of difficulty. International Championships take place on the downhill track. The Free Ride track runs pass mainly through natural countryside.

The new “Desarpa” trail from the top of Couis 1 is now open; the track descends 15kms to Aosta with a drop of 2100mt from the summit, to the

valley floor. After the 2nd turn, go left and head for the arrival point of the Couis 2 chairlift. Follow this long track down to the Grimod cable car.

From here head down through the woods to the Plan Bois area, when the woodland trail disappears, go into the car park and head

towards the cable car station - dead ahead. From here you enter the “Bike Park” and then down into the bottom end of Pila, where

you will find the Free Ride track to Aosta - enjoy!

Nella conca di Pila, in uno scenario di rara bellezza, sono disseminati 12 itinerari di Cross Country di vari livelli, per un totale di 185 km di discesa, che spaziano da 2300 a 600 m di quota.
