Mineral Resources Superintendent Survey (Chief Surveyor) D-Upper (Ref. No. 21394/1) This is a Chapter 17 legal appointment in terms of the Mine, Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996). The incumbent will lead the Survey team in providing a safe and integrated survey service in accordance with company standards. Responsibilities include mineral resources management by measuring and reporting production results.Determine the survey database fo mining, plant stockpiles and updating of DMR plans. Compile survey reports with weekly and monthly stock reconciliation. Ensure the mining department is provided with mine plans and layouts. The selected candidate will hold a Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency. A degree or Diploma in Mine Surveying will be advantageous. 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably 2 years’ experience in a management role. Compile weekly and monthly reports to relevant stakeholders. Investigeate new rock engineering technologies and developments that may influence the safety or economics of the business unit. The selected candidate will hold a Chamber of Mines Rock Mechanics Certificate. A Degree in Geology or Mining Engineering will be advantageous. 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with 2 years’ experience in a managerial position. No. 21394/3) The incumbent initiate HR interventions in the short and medium term and strategic planning in order to assist the organisation in attaining its objectives. Areas of focus include labour management, talent management, time and attendance, contractor’s management, disability management, communication, stakeholder relationships and statistical reporting. The selected candidate will hold a relevant Degree or Diploma as well as a Valid Certificate of Fitness with at least 6 years’ relevant experience, preferably 2 years’ experience in a management position. The selected candidate will hold a Degree/National Diploma Mech/Elec and have at least 4 years’ relevant maintenance trackless experience. Knowledge of SAP PM maintenance is required. In the meantime, the Phokeng Police provided ad- ditional information regarding the incident. The ATM bombers held the petrol attendees hostage, instructing them to lie face down on the ground; and thereafter started charging the explosives at two of the ATMs. The Police, on patrol in the area, approached the ga- rage and as soon as they realised the situation they faced, a shoot-out with the suspects ensued. During the shootout with the Police, the suspects managed to get away in an unknown black vehicle. They also got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No arrests have been made as yet.
