Leisure, Sport and Fitness CentresPreschool Physical Activity and Multi-Activity CampsPreschoolers will enjoy these fun, high-energy multi-activity camps! All of our camps and programs incorporate values from the Canadian Sport for Life’s Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD) which focuses on friendship, physical activity, skill development, and building lifelong healthy lifestyles

What is LTAD?The Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD) is a research-based approach developed to maximize your child’s potential and involvement in physical activity and sport. Emphasizing the overall development of your child’s physical capacities, fundamental movement skills, and the ABCs of sport: agility, balance, coordination, and speed, these camps contain a variety of activities for all abilities.

(F*) At the preschool age, LTAD focuses on the “Active Play” model. The fundamentals are basic movement and sports skills taught through fun games and activities that engage children and motivate them to continue in activity. While these basics are fun, they also teach the essential skills required for more complex physical activities and sports. It is important that all children develop a good base of these skills before puberty to optimize both future performance and lifelong activity.

Early Drop-off / Late Pick-upEarly drop-off and late pick-up are not available for preschool camps.

Active Start Summer Camp (F*) (3 5–5 years) $90 (5 days), $75 (4 days)On your mark...get set...go! In this fun-filled, fast paced class, there is no time for a nap, but your little one might need one after we’re done! We’ll have a ball playing a variety of pre-sport skills, but we’ll take a break to make some awesome crafts, sing some songs, and then enjoy a great story to finish off the day! Please provide a small nut-free snack and beverage each day for your child. Please note that all participants must be toilet trained. Parents/guardians are not required to stay.
