1) DIWALI :

Diwali is the famous festival in India mostly celebrated by Hindus.

Diwali is five days festival which starts with Dhanteras on which day

people shop for the gold.

People decorate their houses with clay lamps and electronic lights

and making Rangoli.

After the next day of the new year , people celebrate ‘Bhaidooj’.

It is a brother and sister festival similar to Rakshabandhan.

Holi is celebrated every year in the Hindi month ‘Falgun’ or March

all over the India.

One day before the colourful Holi festival, “Holika Dahan” is conducted

where huge bonfire is set.

Christmas is celebrated on 25th December every year across the World

making the birth of Jesus Christ.

People buy Christmas trees and decorate it with lamps , gifts , lightings

and flowers to celebrate the festival.

Friends and neighbours portray Santa Clause by wearing his costumes

and distribute gifts to children and spread happiness.

The festival spreads the message of Love and peace taught by Jesus

Christ.

Onam is the famous cultural festival of Kerala.

It is the symbol of Malayalam culture and tradition.

Onam is originated from the Sanskrit word ‘Shravanam’ , which is

one of the 27 Nakshatras.

6) PATETI [ NAVROZ MUBARAK]:

The Parsi New Year also known as Navroz or Jamshedji Navroz.

People clean and decorate their homes.

They dress up in traditional attires and visit Fire temple.

People visit relatives and friends to wish them.

friends, good table manners for kids are important part of manners.

1) Come to the table with washed hands and face :

Before meal always wash up the hands and face.

It shows respect for the person who prepared the meal.

It is also an important healthy hygiene habit.

2) Always ask if there is anything you can do :

Whether at home or someone else’s house ask for the help.

3) Watch the host to see when you should unfold the napkins :

If the host puts napkin on their lap, that’s the signal for you to put

your napkin on yours.

4) Wait until everyone is served before eating :

Never begin eating until everyone is seated and served.

5) Never , ever chew with your mouth open :

Chewing with your mouth closed and not talking when your mouth

is full, shows good table manners.
