Who will I live with?We have many homestay hosts and placement options, all o ering di erent experiences of culture, religion and lifestyle. Homestays can be:⋅ A home with other children⋅ A home with a single person⋅ A home hosting other students like you⋅ A home o ering the opportunity for you to share with your brother/sister/friend

What will I get?⋅ A comfortable study bedroom with a desk and wardrobe

⋅ Breakfast and evening meals ⋅ Laundry service every week ⋅ Bedding and towels ⋅ Internet and telephone access

Is it safe?We make regular visits to check that you have everything you need and all our hosts have to follow guidelines on o ering care and support. Our welfare and safeguarding team is available to help you se le in, answer any questions and check you are happy.

What about care for younger students?Student Services within each College has extra safeguarding measures in place to take care of students younger than 16 who are living in a homestay. In addition, Local Social Services visit all homestays to ensure students are safe, secure and cared for.

Please note: Homestay accommodation in London is only o ered to students aged 16+.GCSE Pathway students at Bellerbys Brighton must live in our on-campus residence.

How will I se le in?We always recommend you to ask your homestay about anything you are unsure about. This might include things like what happens in the holidays, friends visiting for dinner and what time they eat evening meals. Our hosts are friendly so don’t be afraid to ask.

Living in a homestay can help you se le into life in the UK more quickly as your host can guide you around the city and help you to understand cultural di erences.

What if I don’t like my homestay placement? We always try our best to match you with a host we think you will like. If you do have any problems we will help you to resolve them, and we can help you move to another homestay or residence if you are unhappy.
