Trackless Machine Technician – REF 16:13 INDIA

General duties will include but not be limited to: This position requires the candidate to carry out electrical/hydraulic fault finding, repairs, maintenance and services on Trackless Mobile Machinery (Atlas Copco 282 twin boomer, ST 1030 load haul dumper and Atlas Copco dump trucks, Normet MF 540 Uttilift, Normet Spary mec, Norstreamer and Normet minimac wet crete systems). The employee must also be prepared to carry out stand-by duties. The technician is requested to perform his/her duties in a professional and safe manner. This incumbent must be able to communicate effectively with customer and crew in English.

Establish and maintain a safe work environment Service, repairs and elect/hydraulic fault finding to be carried out on trackless Atlas Copco, Sandvic and

Normet equipment of the new generation (2015/2016) mentioned above . Create and implement Preventative maintenance programs Effective and accurate pre and post inspections on equipment Communicate/give feedback to customer on repairs carried out or if further work is required Ensure job card/PDI/Work sheet is completed with all necessary details and signed by the customer Ensure accurate stock control Effective and exact stock take abilities is essential When on stand-by response time of one hour must be maintain. Ensure all tools are free of damage and correct tools used for the job Conform to all safety rules and regulations To assist site manager/engineer with site inspections Train and offer assistance to technician-workshop/field

Experience and Qualifications

Grade 12 certificate / Matric At least two years in field experience on trackless equipment. Must be a qualified trade tested Millwright, Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician with a proven track record

Certificated training qualification in the Atlas Copco/Sanvik and Normet ranges of equipment will be advantageous .

Required to have basic computer skills Proven maintenance experience in diesel, electric and hydraulic trackless equipment. Able to read, understand, interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings. Must have managerial experience and supervisory experience Basic knowledge of general health and safety laws Ability to motivate colleagues to reach set targets Ability to converse in a number of languages
