Since our inception in 1989 from Granada Services, rather than trading using the same CV’s as every other agency we have created our own ITEngineers through residential and vocational training.

Approximately 35% have an Ex-Militarybackground therefore generally havingexisting Security Clearance (SC & DV) coupledwith strong interpersonal skills. Previous IT experience has never been a pre-requisite of ours as long as candidates are able to pass a tough evaluation process, an intense 10 day practical training course and a stringentpre-employment screening process. This model consistently produces candidates with

a high level of motivation, dedication, technical ability and strong customer service focus.

Candidates are offered as a flexible resource throughout the UK and Ireland to various Employer Partners from smaller SME’s to large Global Corporations. Each candidate can be employed permanently or as a flexibletemporary worker. It is the latter generallyproject based and/or temporary requirements (PAYE) where we feel the Cerco model is at its best. Candidates can be hired at competitive rates for 1 day up to long term, open ended placement. Each candidate can be made permanent free of any additional charge after 13 weeks. It has been the flexibility in being able to create candidates where our customers need them and when they need them that has enabled us to assist them in delivering some of the largest projects in Europe.

About Cerco

As a constantly developing sector, the IT industry demands flexible, customer focused employees of a very high standard.Cerco provide an efficient and effective solution to provide these sorts of people. Our partners trust us to complement their workforce and service, ourreliability means we are often referred to us as ‘a safe pair of hands’ when it comes to theirrecruitment needs.

What We Offer

Our objective is to consistently offer our customers a solution that guarantees:

• Nationwide coverage• Candidates professionally trained, or tested and evaluated, to meet our exact standards• Highly competitive rates, with optional fully inclusive fixed day prices• Full pre-employment screening of candidates• A positive can-do attitude• Fast response times

Our Background

Cerco began as a training organisation adding a recruitment division in 2003. We induct ourcandidates in a very honest way, preferring only to

train those that we believe have the right skills to make it in the industry. These candidates pay an amount of their own money to embark on apractical and residential training programmeproviding the skills and logical methodology essential for the roles they are seeking. The combination of motivated individuals and our practical training and evaluation creates exceptional entry levelcandidates. As a result, our business has grown to such an extent that we now have an established resource solutions company, Cerco IT Ltd.

A refreshingapproach to delivering

quality IT staff solutions

Ricoh has used Cerco for temporarycontractors, where we have arequirement for short-term projects. We have once again found thecandidates supplied to be first class and reliable; they are trained to the same high level as those we get forpermanent employment, and are keen to prove their ability.Regional Customer Service Manager, Ricoh UK

Our Candidates

Our candidates come from a variety of different backgrounds and are generally ‘self-taught’. They are attracted through various media. The stereotypical Cerco candidate simply loves IT. We work withcandidates of differing backgrounds with many having had a professional background before they decided on a career change. The practical training provided ensures a logical approach is adopted and that the customer is put first. Cerco looks for candidates who fundamentally have a positive attitude.

Former Service Men And Women

Cerco have over the last 20 years formed strong relations with the British Armed Forces as well as the organisations that serve to help people when leaving or ‘coming out’. We hold relations with Education Officers and Learning Centres at several Barracks across the UK and Germany. Our relations also include the Career Transition Partnership, The RFEA, British Forces Resettlement Service and the Royal British Legion. In fact Cerco is a beneficiary of the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory. Due to theserelations approximately 30% of our candidate in take is ex-military. Cerco and our customers enjoyworking with candidates that have an exmilitary background due in part to their approach. The Security Clearance many leave with is also very desirable to employers in the UK. Because of this a career in IT can be an excellent choice for an aspiring Forces leaver.

Advanced Candidates

IT engineers already working in the industry, who would like to use our services but who do not

require training are also thoroughly evaluated before being offered to our customers. All applicants are invited to meet with us for written tests and a personal interview to ensure that they meet our high standards. We see this as vital in maintaining our reputation.

Our resource team are unlike any other in that wepersonally meet all of our Candidates. Tocomplement this all of our consultants are trainedat least to technician level ensuring they are able to go a step further when providing appropriate candidates.

Unique IT solutions from a unique IT solutions provider

My experience of recruiting and working with Cerco trained engineers has been fantastic! As well as being good team players the course has given them the skills necessary to workon their own initiative. I put it down totheir enthusiasm and desire to developcoupled with the technical challenges of Heathrow Airport for the dramatic decrease in our staff turnover!ServiceTec Ltd, Site Support Manager, Heathrow Airport
