The Environmental Protection Agency finds that Chlorine and other chemical disinfectants have been widely used by public water systems (along with filtration) to protect the public from microbial pathogens in drinking water. DBPs are formed when certain disinfectants react with DBP precursors (organic and in organic materials) in source waters. In most cases, natural organic matter (NOM) is an important factor that affects the levels of DBPs that form (NOM is usually measured as TOC). The levels of DBPs in drinking water can vary significantly from one point in a distribution system to another, as many continue to form in the distribution system. DBP levels are generally higher in surface water systems because surface water usually contains higher DBP precursor levels and requires stronger disinfection. In most cases, natural organic matter (NOM) is an important factor that affects the levels of DBPs that form

(NOM is usually measured as TOC). The levels of DBPs in drinking water can vary significantly from one point in a distribution system to another, as many continue to form in the distribution system. DBP levels

are generally higher in surface water systems because surface water usually contains higher DBP precursor levels and requires stronger disinfection.

Through the extensive studies performed on different water from various states, GPM Environmental Services has developed ADMIN, an environmentally safe and NSF® approved product that will reduce the overall TTHM's and HAA5's from 40-80%. Let us help you achieve Stage 2 DBPR monitoring requirements today.

Call for a demonstration let us help you alleviate the headaches from your increasingly stressful position of water management.

Are you having difficulty keeping your TTHM's or HAA5's at compliant levels?
